Galaxy Note on Pre-Paid

Hello!
I am currently with Verizon using an iPhone 4S with 450 minutes, 1,000 texts and unlimited data for ~$72 per month with the discount that I get through the company I work for. The issue that I am now encountering is that I am going over my 450 minutes per month but I am not really wanting to spend the additional amount that it would cost monthly to upgrade to the 900 minute plan. I love Verizon's coverage, but I am not willing to spend much more on my monthly cell phone bill than I do now.

I am considering switching to a pre-paid carrier but I still want to be able to use a high end smartphone. I know that this is possible with an AT&T Go Phone plan from reading online, but I am curious as to whether there are other pre-paid carriers that might be an option. Has anyone been using a Galaxy Note with a pre-paid carrier? If so, which carrier and what steps did you have to take to get it working?

I appreciate everyone's help.

I'm using my Galaxy Note on Straight Talk, it's only $45 a month and includes unlimited talk, text, and data. The benefit is you're still on AT&T's network, so the coverage, and data speeds are the same.

You can buy a SIM card for $15 from www.straighttalksim.com

Ty for the info. Did you order the AT&T sim or the Smart Talk sim?

It's all over the map, but the consensus appears to be roughly 80-100MB per day. Anything over 100MB per day for several consecutive days will either get you a nastygram or booted outright (stories vary).

Your best bet is to install 3G Watchdog and set the warning triggers so you know when you're straying into the danger zone.

When you're ordering the SIM what do you put?? AT&T Compatible Phone or Unlock Phone(I'm getting the Unlocked International version of the Note)
After that is it a mini or regular SIM..

It doesn't matter if you pick Unlocked or AT&T because it puts an AT&T compatible SIM in your cart either way which is what you want. The Note uses a full sized SIM or regular SIM.

I'm also on verizon with the Galaxy Nexus which was to be a "PURE GOOGLE" experience with fast updates and everything else. Let me just say verizon found a way to F*#& up our fast updates via google and is looking to possibly terminate the unlimited data plan for those who have it. This pre-paid option may be my next step because I love the galaxy note!!!

I just cancelled my Verizon and I am now with Straight Talk. I am happy since ditching them. I have been waiting for ICS on my Maxx. My bill has been F'ed up 2x with Verizon. Never again.
