Root This might be a dumb question but...

Where is it written that rooting your Droid voids the warrany?

They probably consider it an "unauthorized modification" or something. And I bet they wouldn't take back a phone with a hardware defect because you rooted. They just want an excuse to pin anything on the end user. :rolleyes:

But yeah, if you unroot by flashing the SBF file in the sticky at the top of this forum subsection before you bring your phone in for servicing, they won't be able to tell that you ever rooted it.

Of course, once 2.1 rolls out you'll probably wanna flash to a 2.1 SBF before bringing it to them. It'll look fishy if you're on 2.0.1. :eek:
