I had to use the LG KP500 Utilities software to apply this software to my phone. changing the file extension from kdz to cab allowed this.

Can you provide more details? I just tried this. Came up with a funky screen with a bunch of question marks.

If it does not work as (CDMA) Smartphone (DIAG), then try as (3GQCT) Smartphone (DIAG)

same issue I reinstall W7 and this tread still not working Maybe doest work

after a few hours of trying i finally got it to work
it does work i just got mines up and running on CTmod3.6.5 rom and the marquee unleashed 1300mhz v3_2_1 kernel which includes all the 3d performance fix and omg it is smooth as butter this is what lg should have done before selling this model to customer without proper drivers and kernel

first make sure you do all the windows 7 updates including sp1 then make sure you install 7601usbfix.exe this will make sure the fix was properly applied this will save you alot of heart ache.

then follow step 1-11 pay close attention to step 11 is kind of tricking in terms of timing.. after clicking launch software update button it needs 1-15sec depending on how fast your pc is because it will need time to unextract the file then you turn on you power on your phone. if you see S/W upgrade then you should be fine from their.

Steps 1-13 went through well, but then I get to step 15. Command prompt starts, shows files etc. Ends with enjoy your rooted phone but then I go download root checker basic and it tells me my phone does not have root access. Any one can help. Super Noob.

Up to step 11 no problems.
Timing not an issue, manage to hit S/W Upgrade every time. But It runs through to same point and stays in S/W Upgrade for, well 2 hrs was longest I left it. Log:

I used this method and it worked for me i have boost. I am now running CTMod 3.6.5 and hyper kernel 1.5 and phone runs way better then stock. I have a few things being new at this i figured out.

1. updating flash will make chrome browser not play videos. Works fine with out it.
2. I thought my phone run alittle better with the 3d unleashed kernel but my phone froze after a day and wouldn't reboot had restore from backup and that was running the 1300 version at 1000. Could of been anything though.

Lastly thanks to all involed with everything listed above its amazing the difference.

alittle better are you kidding the difference is night and day the phone should have came like that. leaving at a1300mhz and 300mhz min works perfect plus battery time isnt that bad with some extra tweaks side note games now play smooth as hell

you dont have root seems like you might have miss a few steps sprint stock rom has to be installed first

Got it to work. Here is a few tips. I finally upgraded to win7 sp1. I also did the 3gXYZ/DIAG config.
I saw this error:
11:32:02 : Model Dll Msg Not Found(20, 570)
and I was about to reboot phone and try again, but my phone looked like this.

Here is the log output of a successful run.

I bought a Marquee at Walmart for an EOL price of nineteen cents, and I love it except for the Sprint ID. On youtube, knoxville363's rooting method doesn't stick for the upgraded gingerbread 2.3.4. This process is easy to follow, your instructions are very clear, and I put CTMod 3.6.5 rom on my sd card and am running that, which is a great ROM with a chrome browser. Again, excellent instructions!

Are you opening the windows enabler as administrator? I launch the windows enabler and the KDZ updater as administrator. Just right click and choose run as administrator.

I followed the step by step to return to stock on my lg marquee from boost. But everytime I get to where the update launcher comes up it asked to load the kdz file before I can update. I can't find the the file. I downloaded all the proper files to do this. I need help and I'm trying to root since I lost root after the zv4 update. Can anybody throw a life line?????
