Well, I haven't been reading every post lately because I've been busy - so whatever you're talking about I haven't seen. Hopefully after seeing this thread people will re-think things they are going to post before they hit submit, if needed..

People come here (hopefully) to collaborate, get help and have fun - not be treated badly for minuscule reasons.

I would have listened and actually look over all of the posts within the past week to properly moderate all the "blunt and mean people" on the forum, but looking at your name, I know that you are under the age of 17. If you can't take a little bit of heat, stay out of the kitchen.

I haven't seen anyone being mean yet. Sure, some people are blunt, but that doesn't mean that its a bad thing.

Actually, this is the most vicious thread I've come across on here. It's a little too tame for me. I figured we would have a lot more "ban stick" action going on.

Just suggesting that instead of openly announcing how mean everyone is, perhaps you could step up to the plate and spread some cheer with nice comments, compliments and the like.

I do prefer forums where generally speaking the members are "nice" and "helpful" and all that good stuff. I HOPE that is the direction that AndroidForums is going and we hope to take it there.

That being said, if everything was peachy keen and roses I think we'd be missing out on a lot as well. Spirited debate is encouraged. There is a thin line between "disagreeing", "being blunt" and "crossing the line" but I think the mods have done an excellent job thus far at moderating posts themselves and taking the complaints of members (via reported posts and PMs) into consideration.

If you have a particular problem, you need to PM a Moderator and/or report the post that you think crosses the line. If you can't handle someone disagreeing with you than perhaps the interwebz isn't for you.

Unfortunatly, this is something you're going to find in every forum. Best course of action is to get over it and move on, don't get involved, and just.. don't join the jerk brigade.

While I am waiting for my G1, I have been trying to read as much on this forum as possible. I cant seem to find any threads where anyone has been rude or blunt. Maybe its just me and I have thicker skin. I don't know. I find the forums to be filled with pretty decent people really. everyone seems to be really helpful and easygoing. If you wanna see blunt and nasty for real, join one of the Blackberry forums. Or even the Eve online forums. Now those folks are just down right mean lol. But as far as this forum goes, I say its a great place and to keep up the good work. I have already met some people here I talk to on a regular basis.

I never said people were mean to me. I think some people on here treat others with very little respect. But if I can't handle, I'm not stupid enough to stay here.

Think again, because not all David Archuleta fans are under the age of 17.

You are complaining about it, meaning it bothered you, meaning you couldn't handle it like you say you could. I'm not here to cause a fight. I'm here to fix fights, but I don't see anything wrong with any of the forum members (yet).
