This is built from LG src for the LGMS695. This needs testing before I can release into the wild, so anyone brave enough to risk making your new phone into a doorstop hit me up on irc. You will need to be rooted and have CWM installed.

OK Playful god and Shabby Penguins hooked on Macronics, I just bricked my LGMS695 I bought May 9th. Now I have one left. I am ready to ROOT and FLASH CWM. Let me now about trying out a ROM for you or anything else. I can do for you. I have ADB and QtADB, I think I can handle it!!

Will this kernel allow wifi tether? My friend is wanting to get his rooted and use wifi tether. i tried the wifi tether app from play store and it said kernel wouldnt allow it to tether so basically im trying to find out if stock kernel will allow tether through the wifi tether app or does there need to be a kernel released before we can tether....

I've used the app "Barnacle Wifi Tether" perfectly with the stock kernel, but you do need to be rooted

I think he said he would be amazed if it even got to 1 GHz because its the same processor that's in my optimus m (old) it's just clocked to 800MHz...

That doesn't work for me maybe I'm doing it wrong but until I learn how to get to cwm that way I won't do it I just got this phone every time I try it just reboot

linkage for the Beta in the OP. Initial testing has been good. Only issues reported thus far is broken wifi, hence the beta tag and feedback needed. May be fixed in this build

debugging is actually kinda hard w/o the device lol. But I am thinking it has to be something with the modules.

Just flashed plague on my moms esteem haha she is amazed. .is it possible to merge the wifi modules into the beta and rezip? Or do they need to be recompiled?

Testers are current trying various things. Thing is only 2 of the 5 modules are getting compiled with the kernel src. And the wlan.ko is symlinked to the ones in /volan and wont zip if they are included lol.

I reverted the kernel's version prefix to what it is stock so it wouldnt matter, but thats not seem to fixed the issue yet either. We are working on it tho

I clicked the download link... but it doesn't appear to be available anymore... I am really interested in this kernel and am glad other people have taken the time to make this phone better... can't wait to download the kernel when its back online
