Is root worth switching my GF for her phone?

Just wondering if the 1.5-2.1 root is worth switching phones with my girlfriend. Any and all opinions appreciated as usual, but please, only if you ACTUALLY have root

Edit: To clarify, I have 2.1 leak. She has stock 1.5 So the comments from the peanut gallery below are quite out of line. I didn't do anything, so there are no "consequences" to accept.

Its ok bjan, i wasn't talking to you. Smacky must have thought I switched to root and wanted to switch back by taking my gf's phone, I suppose thats what the "man up" comment was about. But I dont have root. I have the leak. She has 1.5 So I was gonna give her mine, and put the root on hers. No, man. The consequences of you flashing the leaked ROM are you can't root. I'm saying don't dump the phone on your girl. If she wants it, fine. But It seems like a shitty thing to do, because you don't want it so you give it to her. But it's your call. I don't think root, right now, is worth it.

You totally misunderstood the post. I LOVE 2.1 She loves it too. and she WANTS it. I'm not trying to "dump" anything on her. So I'm just asking whether to go with the leak, or to root 1.5

Maybe try and understand a situation before you ASSume and jump down someones throat.

But the question remains:

At this point, what benefit is there using rooted 1.5 vs unrooted 2.1 leak?

I could trade with her if I want to, but I don't want to.

You should just take screenshots of her home screens and wallpapers, find out her google and facebook passwords, SWAP phones and change out SD cards while you have an hour to spare, and set up your phone EXACTLY like hers, then when she sees the weather moving all over the screen and pinch zoom on the home screen just say

"Oh yeah, Verizon automatically does that update, isn't it awesome?"

See, for me, my trackball is FILTHY, to the point of it being almost black, and hers is BRIGHT white. She'd notice.

I did the same thing, I jumped on 2.1 ASAP and now I want root, talked to the wife and she said it was ok to switch phones, as long as the woman agrees id go for it. I'm going to.
