How to add an event to exchange instead of gcalendar

Hi!

I've set up google calendars to have my personal stuff instead of using corporate exchange. But I do rely on exchange to store and share events concerning my job.

Calendar shows each end every event (gcal-s AND xChange) BUT I am not able to create an exchange event, only gcal and My Calendar and Outlook. Is there a workaround to get over this annoying "feature" and choose xChange also for newly created events?

Thanks,

Bal

Hi, I'm using HTC Hero as busniess phone and experiencing the same problem as you are.

My exchange synchronization allows me to get mail, calendar and contacts but I'm not able to create new events in my exchange calendar (one way sync).

There are only google calendars available (and outlook + my calendar) in the calendar selection list, can someone please explain how to create and sync exchange events?

Hi jamtobo!

The conclusion is rather annoying because I thought that HTC had created a business phone with Hero. Not exactly. So the workaround I have found:

Use an external/add-on calendar (for me it was Pure Calendar or Pure Grid Calendar). With it you can create a Quick Event with it's built-in tools. There one can select which calendar should be used. Exchange, gCal or PC...

I hope it did help! :)

Cheers,

Bal

Do you think that the possibility to create exchange events i dependant on the exchange account?

The event fetched from the exchange server is tagged with "exchange" and it has a unique color coding. Exchange is not available in the calendar list when I create a new event or in the calendar settings.

This is really annoying guys, I thought that it would work out of the box...
