No maps forcecloses here so far. I'm on BB ESE53 0.6 with Helix Launcher. For those who haven't noticed, there is a new live wallpaper after you update to 4.1. It is a "maps" live wallpaper that shows your current location and follows you...
**EDIT** I should thank radikal from the LWP thread in the Droid section...Didn't notice the wallpaper before I saw him post it...

It is rooted, but with a 1.5 ROM . I'd rather wait for Paul to make a custom ROM from an official 2.1 build than use the leaked one. So I'll have to be jealous a little longer
It keeps force closing on my Droid but it is not rooted.[/quote
Saw this on another site, tried it and it worked. Go to settings-applications-manage applications. Go to Maps and uninstall updates then go back to the market and reinstall the update. It should work fine after the reinstall.

Strange thing just happened...
I got an update notification from the Market, and Google Maps was one of them. The version is 4.1.0. But I already had 4.1 installed.
@messenger13, same. Maybe it's an update but for things we wouldn't normally notice. Bugs or such. Who knows, though. I haven't noticed any difference.
it's pretty awesome... the buzz integration is pretty good... on its own, buzz sucks somewhat, but when integrated in maps, it's pretty cool (amazing to already see a bunch of buzzes locally - don't know if they're all Nexus, but many seem mobile based...) ... overall, loving how quickly google is sending out updates... it's the way it should be...

Has anyone else had any issues since the new updates with navigation? When I search for something in google maps and the new profile page comes up, I hit the button for navigation. I get taken back to the map view, but navigation doesn't start.
