Best Homescreen app, JUST for more than 3 screens?

Well we've pretty much all heard by now that 2.1 will not be including any more than 3 Home screens. I was REALLY hoping for 5, as 3 is not enough and I'd like more room to play with Widgets. Even with folders and some snazzy organizing it's still not great.

What's the status on Home Screen Replacement Apps? All I know about it Home++ but last I read it was pretty buggy and Force Closed quite a bit. I'm not looking for anything crazy I really just simply want more than 3 screens, 5-7 ideally...are there any apps out there that handle just this?

go with the helix launcher, completly kills home++ and never force closes

Untrue. Actually, it force closed on me the moment I opened it for the first time. And if you read through the HelixLauncher thread, you'll find a number of users who are experiencing force closes just adding shortcuts to their home screens. That being said, I've had the opposite experience that you've had with home++. While I know many people on this board who have had FC issues with home++, I RARELY (notice I didn't say never, because never is an impossibility with these kinds of apps) get FC's.

Either way, you're going to experience FC's with ANY of the home replacements. But in my opinion, home++ is one the most stable and feature-rich home replacements out there. HelixLauncher is nice too and I'll be using it more frequently after the 2.1 update. But don't tell people HL is more/less stable than other HR apps because by virtue of what it is, it'll FC on you eventually. It's not a question of "if," but "when." Oh, and unlike HL, home++ allows you to change the number of screens without a restart and wipe.

My question is are you running 2.1 or 2.0.1 because it was designed for 2.1. Also the reason helix is nice is it doesn't try to be so feature rich with a million options, it blends nicely with the stock theme and at least, gives you more home screens that's all.

I have used Home++ and a couple of others and have gotten FC's on all of them. I have been using HL for several days now and haven't gotten a FC yet. I have used all of the above on stock 2.0.1 and a few different non-stock ROMs(2.1.) (I am evidently addicted to changing ROMs!!) Of all that I have tried HL is the most stable (for me.)

Many times the FC's can be attributed to other apps installed on the phone. If you find a home replacement that you like and are getting FC's, back all your junk up, remove the apps and add them back one at a time and see if one is causing the FC issue. Unfortunately, the above process can be quite time consuming (the apps don't necessarily cause FC's right off the bat,) but IMO the home screen replacement that you use is the app that you have to interact with the most, so it really needs to fit you.

Just my .02,
