Today, on my way to work, I realized whenever I put my Beats earbuds in on the bus, that they were indeed broken. The one side's sound was completely out, but came back when I would wiggle the wire or touch the earbud. Other side's sound was VERY low, but would come back to normal levels when wiggling the wire or touching the earbud.
I was very disappointed. Not only were my awesome earbuds broken but I had to then deal with the freaks and geeks on the bus, and hear all the BS at work as well.
I searched the internet once I got into work and found a number on another forum to call to get these babies replaced, free of charge, so long as you send the old ones back within 15 days of receiving the replacements. The number for HTC (not Verizon, or Monster, since technically, these are a phone accessory) to get a replacement shipped to you is:
1-866-449-8358
All you have to do is give them your cell number, serial number of the phone, address, and email address. They email you a link where you have to preauthorize a credit card, and will charge this card if they don't receive the defective Beats back within 15 days of receipt of the replacement ones.
I got preauthorized and they shipped the replacements out within two hours of submitting my credit card information. Great customer service experience!
Granted, you have to ship back the defective ones on your dime, but a padded envelope and shipping back to them would probably be 3-4 bucks. Much better than the $109 that these retail for!
Just wanted to share because I've seen many threads in this forum about people complaining about Verizon's or Monster's customer service when it comes to these.
Don't jump through hoops to get these replaced, go straight to the source and it's no trouble at all!
