Did you return a phone to ZTE ?? What was the experience like for you?

From calling or e-mailing them about the problems your phone was having to getting a shipping label...service,new or same phone received back...turnaround time etc. ??

Please share your experiences.

I am returning mine for multiple issues and e-mailed them(have everything in writing rather than spoken) just to get a e-mail back saying to try the upgrade....my phone is upgraded already...so I told then I want a shipping label.

Thanks for sharing your experiences good or bad :)

Well I haven't had any personal experience but you can take a look at this thread
Shipping Warp for Repair/Replacement - Android Forums
And I also believe that someone mentioned it somewhere in this thread but I don't feel like rereading the entire thing...:(:(:(
ZTE Warp cracked digitizer - Android Forums

Sent from my N860 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5

Yes I saw the 1st thread you linked to already....and didn't really find much other than someone not being able to find a digitizer in the 2nd one.

I'm sure there are plenty of people on the forums who have needed to deal with ZTE for warranty replacement or repairs, and would like to know how the whole experience was for them.

Well my Warp ships back to ZTE tomorrow.
I did all my correspondence via e-mail so everything is in writing.
Took my package to an actual Fed Ex shipping point NOT a drop box...got a receipt for the package with a tracking #.
ZTE however did make it VERY clear more than once in their emails that they will NOT and do NOT replace phones, they only fix them.
So we'll see what happens.

I had to send mine back twice. The first time, they told me they wiped off the software, and completely reinstalled it. In 3 days, it was force closing again.
The second time I sent it, it took them 3 weeks to find it, because they gave me a duplicate rma number. They kept referring to the original tracking number, and thought I had it back already. (if they spoke the same language as me, it would have only taken 1 week).
Anyway, when I got it back the second time, it was a brand new phone. I've had it for 5 weeks now, and it has only force closed a few times-bout once a week. I'm reasonably content, but I don't trust it. I'll replace it when I find a better, affordable prepaid Droid.

Yeah that's my nightmare...getting back the phone and it does the same thing.
Freezing and force closing are issues but the speaker(earpiece) is messed up and crackles.
I don't know why exactly but I am not feeling confident that it will be fixed...but we'll see.

I've have the same exact issue with the earpiece! I thought it might be because of dust, but I sprayed it with air from the compressor in the garage and it didn't help :/ Thing is, I don't feel like wasting the time effort and waiting of sending it back only to lose it in the mail for a month and have the issue not be fixed as is the story of so many others

Then i guess You Deal with it.And why an air compressor? probably made it worse.I could see a quick blast from caned air under low pressure. Also i herd of one story that took a lil longer to receive it back not many please point those many out to me i must have missed them.

I have had this phone for about six months. I Have never had an issue with it. I have read about alot of people having issues with locking up and so on. Before the B08c update, I never had a issue with it rebooting untill I read about it. Lol. After the update it has been smooth.
Most are the same folks who have rooted and have no idea what there doing and just like to complain. Also there are a few who have multiple accounts under different names who just like to flame the threads those FOOLS are being watched and there Ip Address are on file with multiple accounts noted.I have reported a few myself. Then there are the few and rare cases where there is a true problem and i believe that stems from a bad batch that was released by accident by ZTE,and it has been my observation that ZTE repairs and replaces the unit when necessary at a more than fair and timely fashion.Like you I also have not had any problems what so ever in the 7 months of running this unit hard on a daily i also own another warp who my teenager uses and that thing take abuse far above and beyond the normal daily use that the developers had in mind im sure lol and it runs just as if it was new:thumbup:

Actually numerous people all over the web have had speaker/earpiece issues.

I luv'd my Warp when it wasn't acting messed up,which hopefully now will be fixed.

As to complaining who am I or anyone here to judge whether something is a complaint or sharing information? It would be great if all phones were perfect but their not and I've always noticed that sharing of info is the way we all learn, find solutions etc. Isn't that part of the purpose of this forum?

As to rooting I had heard of it before doing it...had I done it before no I hadn't but just like everything we all have a 1st time doing something.

I started this thread to find out other people's experiences, and as such I'm open to hearing about that. :)

Whooooo chill buddy. Can't see a slight exaggeration when you see one, huh? I'm not about to go out and buy a can of compressed air when I have some for free at home in a compressor. There's no way it could make it worse, and it didn't. The forum is filled with complaints about ZTE's return and customer service. Open your eyes.

In terms of freezes reboots and force closes I would not even send it back. They have no idea what is wrong and it is quite obvious they can not fix it. Just have to deal with it. I do notice everytime I go through my phone and delete a bunch of apps, viola', no freezes or reboots, but then within a month, I might download 5 apps, and I am back to force closes, reboots and freezes. I will be getting a new phone when this just get on my last nerve, which is pretty close. Probably will switch to Verizon and get a real phone. Friends on it have NO problems but then the phones, out of contract are like $800-$1000, big difference in our petty $200 Warp. For now I will put up with it only for pricing. Just my two cents. lol

Well I got my phone back yesterday and had it added back as my Boost phone today.

Speaker no longer crackles so that is an improvement...the rest I'll wait and see.

I had no idea they were sending it back and the packaging they shipped it back in leaves a lot to be desired. They used just a small box and a bubble envelope...and so of course all original packaging that I sent it to them in no longer exists.
