Well, with the demise of the PureS3 ROM I am now back on a modded version of NEAT LPG deodexed with JKay framework and DeLuxe Settings.

One of the features that I was quite impressed with on the PureS3 ROM was the S3, TW-UX, launcher. Never having been a big fan of TW in the past, preferring instead the SPBShell 3D with all its bells and whistles, I found that the SGSIII's TW launcher made a refreshing change with its glass screen effect and minimalist design. I also quite like the pinch and display all Home screens and the same with the App's screens.

Luckily I found a mod for this and an icon pack for the SGSIII, both of which I have installed, along with sundry other mod's such as transparent Status bar, as opposed to translucent Status bar in JKay's DeLuxe Settings, and a green circle battery mod... all courtesy of our very own Hawker, here.

I'm back on Neat now, and I've S3'd it a la Pure Look, as per ironass above.

I thought Pure Look was super smooth, but to be honest, I don't see too much difference now that I'm back on Neat.

I'll be very interested to see how battery fares tonight, as on PureLook its been fantastic, losing apporox 0.25% per hour overnight with 97% deep sleep. We shall see...

I installed this little cracker last night.
If you like blinged up snazzy ROMs then this one is not for you!
This one is a pure stock based ROM. It is of course deodexed, so it gives you much more flexibility for tweaking. There are tweaks you can choose to install after flashing such as 15 toggles, ICS lockscreen, extended power menu, full screen caller id etc.

If you prefer the stock look (and I must admit I do) then I feel this one is for you.

Its a very classy, slick and polished ROM, as you would expect from a "stock" ROM. What's more, the developer (Sale) seems to know is stuff, and unlike a number of other "devs" is very helpful and listens to comments and suggestions.

Thank you very much MY FRIEND for your nice words, thats a good motivation to keep up the work. :):)

Hi Sale!

So glad you could join us on here. Its great to see developers come on this forum and contribute. Your ROM has been very well received not only on here, but on XDA. I know its very much a stock Sammy look ROM which may not be to some people's tastes, but I and many more others prefer the stock look+feel. However, what sets this apart from all other ROMs in my opinion is you at its helm, as you are without question the most helpful developer I have come across during all my ROM flashing days, and you also really do seem to know your stuff too!

You're doing a great job mate, and long may it continue.

Loving the look of new icons! Good Work. Do actually like look of new Tw surprisingly but bar 2 x things.

I cannot find way to edit/add/remove the dock apps at bottom of homescreen and no permanent google search bar on homescreens.

Is there a way to get either or both??

The last thing we want on this thread now that the developer has just joined it is to go completely off topic, but to answer your questions:

1. long press an icon and drag it into the dock bar area. If you have all 5 icons already allocated, delete one first by long pressing one and drag it to the waste bin.
2. long press an empty space on a home screen, select "add to home screen", "apps" then select the widget tab. find the google search widget then long press to add it. This wont be permanent across all homescreens however. Not sure how to do this.

Congrats! for your great ROM which I've already installed (of course :).

I would like to ask you three questions:

a) Is it necessary to wipe anything before upgrading NEAT to a newer version? What would you recommend? I didn't do that and some apps such as Titanium need to be reinstalled because I got a black screen when starting it. Maybe the cause wasn't to wipe or not but I prefer to ask.

b) Is there a way to get an email telling me a NEAT upgrade is available?

c) When applying a MOD such as battery green circle or any other. Is there a way to remove it without needing to flash the ROM again?

Thanks in advance an, again, great ROM man! :)

I just flashed this ROM then I flashed Siyah Kernel and everything was fine. My battery was around 28% when I rebooted phone and it died. I have it plugged in for charging now and the battery indicator is grey. When I try and power on phone it flashes white screen about 5-6 times and then nothing. The phone doesn't even get hot when charging like usual . Any ideas ?

Thank you mate

a) No. Just install rom without any wipe.
I recommended:
Backup your apps with titanium (or nandroid backup)
Uninstall titanium
go to data/app and delete com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup.odex
install rom without wipe
install titanium

b)yes if you are donator. You will receive updates and mods on email

c)only way to remove it is to reflash the rom

Cheers

Can you get to recovery mode? If so try to install rom again

In fact, even though my wifi sleep policy is set to never when charging, it never switches off if the wifi graph in the battery screen is anything to go by.

Same for me. I have sleep policy set to never, but it shows wifi active all the time. I also have an issue with wifi not coming active when I unplug the charger. I have to turn it off and on to find any networks :( Not sure what the cause is but it I've tried the LPS and LPX modems and its the same with both.

Wifi is controlled through the kernel rather than the modem.

I don't have any issues with wifi other than the fact that it "seems" to stay on constantly according to the battery chart screen. Everything else related to wifi works perfectly for me other than this. Its not a ROM or kernel issue as I've tried several. And i always do full wipes before flashing any rom.
I think the only thing left for me to try is to wait until the next official firmware release comes out. I'll full wipe and flash through Odin then flash sale's neat ROM over on top.

I had exact same problem after flashing something, thought had bricked it & was doing nothing at all. Only thing could do was get into Download Mode, vol -, home & power, then flash stock Rom through Odin on pc.

Then u have to start again almost, this was my only option anyway.

Welcome SaleSale,

It a privilidge to have you post on this Forum.

I currently run your Rom because ......well basically I stalk users "Hawker" and "Ironass" to see what they are up.

I have had one problem with your Rom where it will crash and render any button presses useless so when I Reboot via CWM my homescreens load up but inplace of the widgets there is an error message saying "Could not locate Widget" or something of that nature.

I have no problem doing a full wipe and reinstalling but I was just wondering if you have come across any other users with this problem?
Would "Fixing Permissions" help?

Kind Regards

Thank you mate

That's definitely the first time I've heard that one. Try wipe cache, dalvik cache and fix permission. If doesn't help, post back.

Yep same for me only download mode. I did factory reset and installed stock ICS ROM and rooted and still had issues. Restore my backup and back on CheckRom 6. The bug I had with this rom is the volume in music player. You can't hear much unless it's at 14/15 and from 14 to max 15 volume goes on full blast which is not cool.

Salesale :)

You asked me to report back and so I shall. Nothing to do with the previous problems that I encountered they seem to have sorted themselves out without any need for Dalvik wipe ..etc etc

What has happened now is that my clock in the notification bar is getting me in to trouble LOL

Basically the real time I write this is what Big Bobs Clock says and is accurate but my notification bar clock says .....well .....take a look ..

Its a small thing but feedback is the only way things progress ....except in this instance where it seems that everything is telling me that something is wrong I think its Jkay framework personally but I'm not acusing anybody because at the end of the day.....it's probably tech

Can you please reflash rom without wipe and dont flash jkay framework.
Flashing NeatRom without wipe you won't loose anything.
And please, can you edit your "Device(s)": NEAT ROM :)
