As of about 2 hours ago, my phone was fine. It had been on the charger most of the day. I took it off the charger and ran out. When I got home, I set it down on my end table. Just now, I picked it up and it wouldn't wake up. I tried powering down to no avail. I plugged in the charger and saw nothing. I removed the battery and put it back in. I removed the battery and memory card and put both back in. Nothing. My phone is a paper-weight.

Any advice other than to return it to Best Buy (it's only 2 weeks old) and try a new one?

OK - This just happened to my phone and its bizarre. Had way over 50% battery. Walked away from the phone. Came back to it and it wouldn't wake up. Pulled the battery out, back in, plugged into the wall now and nothing at all.

HELP!

does it charge with usb cable? if not take it to sprint tech. hope you got insurance.

I have it plugged into my laptop but its as if the laptop doesn't realize it has a USB connected to it. Nothing.

Was plugged into the wall for twenty minutes before this.

Don't have insurance on the phone. Spontaneous/random phone failure isn't covered by warranty on these things?

Yes, that should be covered by the warranty. However, Samsung is the one providing the warranty so you will most likely have to go through them.

i would still take it to sprint and see if its not the battery or some other simple issue. i once had my old pda phone exchanged and got a working refurb for free cuz of a failed rom flash which was my fault anyway. at that time i didn't have any insurance.

I had a very strange problem today with my phone too. I plugged it into the charger when I got home. "USB" and I got this error on the screen saying incorrect battery type. And it wouldn't take a charge. I took the batter out powered up. Reconnected and everything was normal.

I love this phone everyday its a totally new exp. with it.

I swear this phone has Alzheimer's

Hang on. Are you having an issue where:
-After sitting off the charger for a while you plug in the phone
-The phone begins charging just fine
-After about 20mins, the charger recognition starts going on and off
-After 25mins it won't recognize the charger at all
-You take the phone off the charger for a while, then plug is in and it recognizes the charger again... then it all repeats?
