Lol the ZVA backup has a password on the android lock screen and black and white wallpaper cool. Gonna wipe data well thanks a lot guys this thread is awesome. The LG Connect scene is dead check it day and night only you guys are working hard and keeping it up thanks a lot.

I think that's mines. I just uploaded my personal backup. Should I reupload a factory reset version?

I apologize to anyone that has downloaded the Stripper as 6/11/12 @ 3:54am -6GMT (US-Central)
There were a few issues with it which is rather odd considering that I SWEAR it removes the same exact apps as I did by hand.
This issue causes sound to go mute, and the Home Button to incorrectly function.
The issue also causes the lge.autorun error on every boot.

If you have used this, and are suffering from these issues then PLEASE don't be alarmed, your phone isn't broken it's just suffering from a mild case of Dracconus' Late night delusion.

Until this is resolved I've taken the link down, so to anyone that reads this, and sees a link for the stripper please DO NOT be alarmed, it's not a non-functional version. It will be the good one when a link is returned to it's home.

I am working to resolve this issue as soon as possible, and when I do I will re-upload a NEW WORKING TESTED version of the stripper as well as a stripped ZVA.

I appreciate your patience, and apologize for any inconvenience this might have been as it was something I had no preconceived notions of recollection towards.

Ok, so like I mention on the other thread. I had updated to zva then broken out rom. Im trying to get back to ZV9. You had told me to go to this link, follow the installation instruction and download zv9 link. I did exactly what it said but again im still on ZVA. Am I missing a step?

What are you looking at that tells you you're on ZVA? The phones Settings/About Phone area, or the LG Updater?
Because as I've stated numerous times before the LG Updater logs your phones information into a server when you update, and no matter WHAT patch you're on CURRENTLY, it'll show that you're on the last one that it updated you to, which is the reason we can't use the LG Updater to do anything unless we get a new phone (LG fkn sucks.)

If the PHONE is saying - in it's settings - that you're still on ZVA then you are INDEED missing something.
hit me back, and let me know what's going on. we'll figure it out, even if I have to walk you through it step by step via posts

There's literally no physical/logical/or explainable way that you're on ZVA if you properly flashed ZV9, or 8.

Go back through it again, take it nice, and slow, and pace yourself. Sometimes we just get ahead of ourselves.

Make sure that before you do ANYTHING once you're in CWM you factory wipe, format cache, go to advanced and format dalvik, and wipe battery stats. And make sure that you use ROM Manager to GET to CWM. Using the stock factory (vol dwn + Pwr) will screw you over.

THEN go through the steps to install the ROM that you want.
Shouldn't have any problems with it if you do that.

Yes, I did 3 or 4 times and it still says ZVA. When u say "format" , do u mean wipe?
Maybe you should get someone else with my problem and test it. I updated to zva through LG tool and flashed broken out rom.

Yup. you need to do the "factory wipe" option in CWM, then Wipe Data, then under the advanced menu wipe dalvik, and wipe battery stats.

Do you think Im on ZV9 but it just says ZVA on my phone?

i have never update to zva thru ota or the lg tool. im currently on zv9, i used air custom cwm backup zva it has a password locked, to unlock i did a wipe data/factory reset thru cwm. rebooted the system and in settings about phone its still zv9

Then I'm officially stumped. I know for a fact that the flashes WORK, just not sure why the value won't change. Doesn't really fkn matter tho does it
Long as zv8 has tether, zv9 has broken tether, and ZV8 improves performance that's all that matters

i will flash back to zv8 when its available, will use quick settings to turn on the hidden wifi-hotspot, if tethering works then its tru zv8, even tho in settings about phone its says zv9 or zva

We know for a fact that the ZV8 that we're getting is the real ZV8 Gadget. We're getting it off a phone that has never even had 9 OTA, or via updater.

All the metro apps can be re d/l'd via the metro app store so no harm no foul (lol). All of the LG apps are still there, the device has not been setup, I did however had to install ROM manager, metamorph, and root explorer to change back the bootanime, change back to stock battery meter, and save the new rom. Other than that it should be pretty close to outta the box rom. Hope you get good use out of it.

I've got all the stock apps, the only thing I didn't have was the stock boot ani, and such.

You could've asked for the stock anime and battery meter, I've had those the whole time. I always back sh#! up. I've learned my lessons the hard way lol

it's no biggie. The zva, and zv9 restored it just fine on my phone. The only rom I've ever had that didn't have it was broken out.

I'm going to dl that zv8 here in just a few, and test it out.
Then I'll install the whole stock set with ADB, and then create the stripped, and "properly" debloated version (just so that the apps match up - no offense or anything, just don't want someone to go from zva debloated to zv8 and be like "how come I no got dis nemoar!"

I'm almost done fixing the stripper file too so people can strip their own rom instead of having to download a stripper version.

That's pretty sweet! I'm thinking of flashing a zvA just to see what all these new apps are and see how bad the battery overheating issue on it (I heard they sorta fixed that). And this community has been nothing but good to me, so anyway I can contribute I will (when available) I got no prob helping out.

I'm certain that's an issue with how CWM handles "updates" on firmware revs; and nothing more.

I'm going to start dl'ing it and prepping it now. so the different versions will be up asap!
