Hello all, a quick question, can anyone with an HTC Hero delete events on their phone that have synced between the phone and google calendar, and see that the event is deleted on google calendar? Could someone try the following;

Create an event on Google calendar.

Wait for the event to appear on the Hero's calendar.

Delete the event *on the hero*

Answer "yes" if the event then gets deleted on Google Calendar

Answer "no" if the event remains on Google Calendar even after waiting for or forcing a sync.

Thanks.

No, busted. :(

New event created in Google Calendar for Monday 17/12/2009
Manually sync'd and appeared on phone almost instantly
Deleted on phone and after three sync attempts is still refusing to die in Google Calendar!

Poo. Please report it to HTC, via their online forms, to retain your sanity ;-)

Hopefully they'll fix it, that's if it gets through the algae and reaches the devs.

If you try this one;

HTC - Support - Customer Service - Support via e-Mail

That's their "email" (it's a web form, not an email) support issue reporting system, that's what I normally use, you tend to get a reply within a day, I got a very useful one originally, and one "yes we know, we're looking into it" (that was for the music player's inability to order tracks correctly), all the rest have been useless so far.

Most manufacturer forums seem to be read only by irate customers, I think they're hoping we'll all help each other and won't bother them. Google's forums for example are full of people reporting problems to each other, occasionally someone from google wanders by and makes a comment that just provokes more questions.
