Any new phone rumors for Sprint?

If they're projecting a late October release, this actually makes sense to me if it's the Quad-Core. Reason I say that is because of the interview with the Tegra executive that said that compatibility with LTE should be ready by 3Q. October marks 4Q, so it would give just enough time to make it work.

Then again, still wouldn't surprise me if it's dual core. either.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

If this is the mopho q, I'm fine with it as long as they're keeping the true mopho successor very secret. I'll take this for my secondary line for sure, but I would love to see a razr maxx type mopho with a kickstand. That would be ideal. Maybe what most of the blogs thought about att getting 2 moto devices was completely wrong and sprint is actually getting 2 moto superphones, 1 qwerty, 1 non-qwerty.

I don't care about ANY of these new phones!!!!

NOTE...NOTE....NOTE....NOTE....NOTE!!! That's all I want!!!

Until then, I will just keep this nexus and hold on to my extra upgrade!!!
Well you don't have to care. There's other people on this site besides you. Anyway, I think its too little too late for the Note coming to Sprint. They might as well wait for the Note 2.

Looks like there's going to be an EVO LTE in white coming soon..

White HTC EVO 4G LTE rumored to be heading to Sprint | PhoneDog

If I do end up re-joining the EVO family, it'll be the white one for sure.

If I join re-join the Samsung family, it'll be the blue.

Now, I just have to be patient enough to see what the other manufacturers have to offer. LG's first real "superphone" on Sprint looks really promising, but I don't know if waiting until late October is really worth it.

Okay, I'm updating my prediction/official launch dates that I last updated a couple weeks ago, since there have been "new" rumors released more recently (Official launch's in bold):

New Projection/Predictions:
4/22 - Galaxy Nexus and LG Viper
5/15 LTEvo (delayed due to Customs/Apple Injunction)
5/24 LTEvo (Phones finally reaching customers for soft pre-order release at Best Buy w/ Sprint pre-orders and other manufacturers trickling in afterwards)
6/2 - "Official" delayed LTEvo release date as announced by Sprint
6/21- SGS III (rumors of delay to 1st weekend of July)
7/13 - White LTEvo
7/27 or 8/3 - MoPhoQ (Mystery slider that pic was leaked recently)
8/24 - ???
9/21 - ???
10/5 - iPhone 5
10/31 - LG Eclipse (LS970)

Unless the MoPhoQ is pushed back into August, there are a couple months that are missing devices. Summer is usually Sprint's time to release all of their "new" phones, so I'm still holding out hope that the mystery slider isn't the only Motorola phone and that there really is a "true" successor to the MoPho that hasn't been leaked and is in the vein of the Atrix 3 or the Razr HD. Only time will tell, but I may end up waiting longer than I originally anticipated to take my last 1 year upgrade. I don't know if I can hold out until that Halloween release that is being rumored for the LG phone, so if nothing of significance is rumored and/or released in August or September, I'll likely be going with LTEvo or the SGS 3.

If the Photon II turns out to be a slider, I'm leaning very strongly toward the LTEvo unless LG knocks my socks off...

I'll probably get the LTEvo in black because I usually drop my phones and black hides dirty scratches better. LOL!

Any chance now that Google is running Moto that their phones come vanilla android no bloatware like their Nexus's? If so I'm into that Slider...

From all the reports that have been talked about for upcoming Moto phones (Dinara/Atrix 3-ATT, Razr Maxx-Verizon, MoPhoQ-Sprint), the talk has been that Motorola still has a UI on there, but it's the closest to stock Vanilla out of all the OEM's, so my assumption is that the only "bloatware" that Motorola has on there are things like Widgets, Battery Saver functions (which I love on the current MoPho), and that other thing that the Verizon Droid phones got that does similar things to Tasker (but not as advanced or detailed).

No matter what, I'll be using a 3rd party Launcher for customization purposes, but I love knowing a UI won't have a ton of bloat to take up space on the phone. I'd imagine that Motorola will continue to go in that direction, now that it's officially a Google owned company.

I agree. I have a Admiral now and I gotta say I like the UI because its simple but man would I love it to be a full blown vanilla. I gotta say the batteries from what I can see on Moto's are the best.

Yup. On screen buttons only, as ics is intended to be. Only thing I wish OEM's figure out is how to get the viewing screen bigger, since there's no need for capacitive buttons.

And imagine what motorola devices will look like once they start using the screen that's also a speaker (they just recently submitted this for a patent). That'd mean, a phone could be made that the front of the phone will be all screen and no extra room needed for speaker grill, just ffc and proximity sensor, which maybe can even be placed behind the visible screen.

I'd say that there is a fair chance that eventually Moto will end up with vanilla Android on their devices with the choice to remove any limited bloatware. As it is Moto seems to have the smallest amount of bloatware.

I kind of like the Non-Blur on my MoPho. It's very light. But then again I'm using Go Launcher. Most likely no matter what phone I end up with, I'll be using Go Launcher or something like it. I just can't resist playing with the look and feel of the interface.

As Drex said, it looks like the latest Moto phones still have non-Blur (or Blur lite, or whatever). It's mostly unobtrusive.

I'm really hoping that Motorola gets to produce the next Nexus. I definitely want to see a completely unlocked Moto phone that is pure vanilla Android. What has stopped me from picking up a Nexus in the past couple of years is that they've been manufactured by Samsung. Samsung is my kryptonite. There isn't a phone they could produce that would bring me back into their clutches.

So, if Google has anything to say about it, I think it's safe to say that Motorola phones will eventually end up completely unlocked and with vanilla Android.

And I can see manufacturers making the viewing screen real estate larger by making the non-capacitive buttons disappear when not needed.
