Best price on Galaxy S2?

+1. Anyone know where else we could buy this phone? I wanna try this with the new T-Mobile Monthly 4G plan: 100 minutes/unlimited text/unlimited data (throttled at 5GB) for $30.

I'm not sure you can get the Galaxy S2 at contract price on the monthly plans. Personally I only buy my phones off contract. I'm in a metro area and just now found three brand new in the box on Craigslist, prices ranging from $480 to $550. Now, if the sellers would just respond to my e-mails I might actually buy one. OT aside: Why do people advertise something on Craigslist with only an e-mail contact and then never check their e-mails?

I'm not looking for contract pricing. Just something in the $400-500 range (inclusive of taxes and shipping). Amazon has this phone for $600, Newegg $550 and Negri Electronics $600. Not really sure if I want to go Craigslist or ebay.
Good luck on your price range. They are Well over store list on eBay. It'll be 6 months before you see them for under $500.

I would have bought the one for $480 on the local Craigslist today, but the seller and I couldn't connect. Tomorrow for sure. And it's brand new, sealed in the original box.

I tried to buy one from the T-Mobile store. Their price was $529.99, but, because I'm already a T-Mobile customer they wouldn't sell me one unless I added a line. I tried on their website and got the same results. Then I called the corporate sales department, and they confirmed that they will not sell the phone unless a plan of some sort is included, not even for the full cash price.

Well that totally sucks. I don't know why they bother to put that policy in place. Hmm, would they allow you to buy it for full price if you get a Pay As You Go plan?

Samsung Galaxy S II T-Mobile

With Plan (Amazon): $199
Activation Fee: $35
First Month Service: $50 + taxes
Early Termination Fee: $200
TOTAL: $484 + taxes

No Contract Pricing (Amazon): $599

Something is out of whack here, because I walked into a local Tmobile store, bought my SGS2, and didn't have to add a line or do any such nonsense. I'm on the value plan.

They would sell it to me here for the $529 with no T-Mo account at all. I told them I wanted it for a gift, guy said "no problem." Walked out because I'm not buying until root is available.

The matter is now moot for me. I just got home with a brand new sealed in the box T-Mobile SGS2 that I bought off the local Craigslist for $480. The seller had paid full price for it when he signed up for a new T-Mobile account, but decided not to keep it. T-Mobile wanted to charge him $50 restocking fee, so selling it to me for $480 makes him even.

Now if Google would just finally finish syncing my stuff I could actually take it for a spin. Google is taking forever.

Hi I need some advice. I bought 2 sgs2 2 days ago at t-mobile store and paid alot (400 per phone after rebate on payment plan with 2 yr contract renewal) Now i realize i can get it cheaper at Costco(with new 2yr plan)contract. I am within my 14 day period but t-mobile will charge me 50 restock per phone. Do you think I CAN just return the phones and keep my contract and eat the 100 fee then go get the phones at Costco for 199 each (plus 70 activation fee total), or do i nneed to also cxl my plan at t-mobile store then open another plan at Costco? I read post about selling on craigslist but i would rather get this done asap and thru Costco I can still save almost 300 versus what the t-mobile store was charging. I have not gone in to Costco yet but i plan to later this morning and see what they tell me

Honestly I have no Idea, but a friend was able to get a GS2 FOR FREE from T-mo with a 2 year renewal about 6 weeks ago! (called up on the phone) So, that seems like an awful lot to me, considering the GS3 is in the pipe.
