Note - this came directly from Verizon Wireless. It was a tri-fold brochure-type flier that advertised all the different platforms Verizon carries, WebOS, Blackberry, WinMo, and Android... It arrived in the mail today.

Yep! That was the other thing that jumped out at me... especially since in the text they talk about having 7 home screens...

Being that I used to be in advertising, it amuses me that stuff like this actually sees the light of day.

I don't the status bar has anything to do with the version of Android. I think it varies by carrier. It seems like a T-Mobile/AT&T one. I could be wrong, but it's what I thought until now.

I am guessing there's fine print on the back of the pamphlet that states "We reserve the right to be full of crap" - but wow... sounds like the marketing guys and tech guys need to go off to some corporate retreat and get to know each other.
