How long will you all wait?

I think you made a good choice. This phone isn't coming out anyway. I think it is a phantom phone, I think somebody started a really good hoax...:D

Yea really! :D If it shows up before the 27th I may scrape up funds, if the 28th or beyond I will just wait for a awesome top of the line phone to buy out right that will hopefully hold up like this original Incredible has for me.

Those new plans the 28th may work well or a family or group. But for a individual unless you have a smartphone, hotspot device and tablet they will cost more to keep something close to the unlimited. Won't do that I'll go to Sprint first.

Yep, I already took a look at those new plans and for my wife and I (One smart phone and one basic phone, with 2Gig data...) $25\month more then we pay now. Now I don't have unlimited voice\text, but who cares. I have never gone over my current plan... and i have unlimited data... I'll be buying out right any phone I want going forward as long as I stay with Verizon.

Or go find nexus for $50 and buy ext battery.

I wouldn't. Reception is too important to me.

There is a reason why it seems so many here have held on to their upgrade. There isn't a current phone worthy of using it on - at any price. I wouldn't use my upgrade on any device even if Verizon gave it to me for free. The new Snapdragon chip though, and the loss of unlimited data will make many to choose a new device. Sadly it seems the Dinc 4G won't get here in time to give an option to the SG3. The new Samsung, imo, is the only game in town in Verizon's line up.

At least it looks to be a keeper, and I'm thankful they are not putting a $300 price on it.

totally agree. i've been sitting on my upgrade for awhile now. Still using my Eris from however long ago, since there hasn't been a phone that's really caught my attention. I was really wanting the Dinc 4G since I like HTC phones. But unless it comes out tomorrow, I'm going to preorder the SG3. Then either stick with that or sell it and get the Dinc 4G if it ever comes out.

Although i read an interesting article about the price drop of the rezound and the possibility that Verizon will just keep selling them through the summer, till the fall and they'll just end up not releasing the Dinc 4G anytime soon.

It's been so long ago, I almost forgot how much I loved my Eris. Then I picked up a used Dinc for the improved screen and GPS and camera functions. I was hooked on HTC after a not so hot OG Droid experience. The dinc 4G seemed like a legit progression in my HTC ownership.

Oh well...I preorder the SG3 last week and I believe I couldn't have ordered a better phone.

If reception is so important, waiting on SG3 seems foolish since Samsung on Verizon has not impressed in this department.

With that said, people I speak to on the phone tell me I am clearer on the new phone than I was on Incredible.

Anyway, free new Nexus was worth it to me

Glad to hear your call clarity is a step up. I'm looking for improvement over my Dinc. The sg3 gets very high marks for calls. It has a Wolfson DAC built in and I think that is why calls and the rear speaker sound so good.

Yeah, Samsung LTE phones of the past haven't had a good record for reception. I'm betting the SG3 changes this.

I don't even see how people waiting for the Inc4G could also want the SG3. The difference in screen size and phone size is enormous. I've held a Galaxy Note and it's ridiculously big for a phone. No way I'd get something close to that size.

Agree 110%.. You see the commercials where the people are actually talking on them? They look ridiculous IMO! I will still wait, like I said before... I don't care how long it takes, I am in no hurry. Not concerned about loosing unlimited data either. I will just buy the phone outright. It's what I will do going forward with any phone I want from Verizon...

The new Qualcomm chip is what I am after. Both phones are different variations around the S4. A huge screen isn't my first choice, but it seems it's my only subsidized choice if I want to keep my unlimited data, so I'll live with the best phone on the planet I guess.

Wasn't really excited about it BUT I ordered the S3 with the idea of giving it a chance (I think restocking fee is only about $30). Since it was my last chance to get a subsidized phone I figure it is worth the fee. I will give it a full workout (currently have a Dinc 2 which I can use for at least another year - no LTE in my town for at least another year anyway) and return it if I don't like it. I'm concerned about the size like everyone else but I'll see what it's like when I get it. It looks like a great phone if you can deal with the size.

Well maybe I'll go and pull the trigger on it then. I was actually hoping the Incredible 4G would be 4.3". I'm just not sold on Samsung phones for some reason. I mean it's got a removable battery, SD card slot, and a standard charging connector -- pretty much all I ask for besides obviously having good call quality.

S3 has a Wolfson DAC which should give it AMAZING call quality

I almost went for the Rezound today, but I wouldn't receive it until Wednesday, when I'm out of town unless I paid for expedited shipping and then it'd be iffy if it would actually arrive before I left. I'll wait until Wednesday and if there is still no pre-order for the Inc4G, I'll just get the Rezound. My NE2 doesn't come in effect until.... June 29. Go figure! They would not move it up a day or two. I guess that means that keeping unlimited data will cost me $50. The Verizon rep did say that if I exchanged a phone after the 28th, it would end my unlimited data.

I highly dout they will be a pre order for inc4g that brand just isnt big enough to have a pre order. More like it'll just pop up on the site and store.

That's not it... They won't have a pre-order because they know there are a lot of people waiting for this phone. If they have a pre-order on this phone then people will be getting yet another phone subsidized and keep their unlimited data. This phone will not be announced till after the 28th. Verizon knows what they are doing. I would be willing to bet this phone will out sell the SG3. JMO..! I said all along that Verzion wouldn't realease this phone until the new plans were in place. I had lots of people tell me how I was wrong about that to...;) Read all the comments on here with people buying the SG3. They are not buying it because they want it, they are buying it to keep their unlimited data, and are going to sell it as soon as the Inc 4G comes out.

The US versions do not have the Wolfson DAC. Go read up on XDA forums. Basically a Samsung rep who doesn't know jack "confirmed" they did but doing more thorough investigation it was left out of the US versions. The international has it though. Disappointing for audiophiles i guess but i'm still getting it :)

I actually prefer the 2gb of ram and non-gimped multi-tasking of the SGS3 to what the HTC Inc 4g has. So even if both came out at the same time, i would still go Samsung. Now that the HTC Inc 4g has a rumored price of $199 and no confirmation of the rebate anymore, you are paying the same price for a lesser phone. But of course some will pay the price to have a more pocketable device but they won't be as "future-proof" or multi-tasking happy as SGS 3 owners.

I was just reading up on that. I agree its disappointing but apparently the phone still has decent audio quality. Also the Dinc4G will absolutely NOT be 199$. It will be 149$, if anything, they'll go down on the price from there.

Edit: My bad, didnt see the latest article. Still, Im pretty sure its 199$ and a rebate.
