Help Does the EVO Have A SIM Card?

how does it connect to a server? can I use any server I want?
welcome to the forums!!!!!!!!

server? not sure what you mean. if you are talking about the internet then the evo has wifi capabilities. if you are talking network signals then it works only with cdma technology and the phone is porgrammed to be on sprint. you can root the phone and then program it so that it can be used on verizon's towers if you like. but be warned that if you do, you will run the risk of sprint giving you the boot for doing so.

I mean servers like optus or telstra.

ok you mean networks. since the evo is a cdma phone you will need to find a provider who has a cdma network. you will also need to have cdma workshop and a donner phone from the provider you wish to be on. now i'm not at all too familiar with all of this.

but you can use the boost mobile guide to maybe give you an idea on what you need to do. here is the guide:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/460035-evo-4g-boost-mobile-guide.html

and here is another one for metro:

the only thing i can provide is some things we have in the EVO 4G - All Things Root - Android Forums

if you plan on going into another network then i'm not sure as there are not much info out there on flashing the phone to other networks.....the boost guide is good as you can use it as a guide and try it on other networks.....do not use it exactly as i'm not sure if the numbers would be the same.
