Help Volume rocker

Hi all,

I've got a couple of questions about the volume rocker:

- if i've got an incoming call I hear my ringtone going off, but when I click the volume rocker the ringtone gets shut down. You can imagine that's pretty annoying when the rocker gets inadvertedly pressed in your pocket (since it's so sensitive), you'll practically always miss the call.

- when the phone is locked, the rocker is used for media volume when listening to music. This combined with the sensitivity of the button is pretty annoying as the volume keeps getting adjusted when the phone is in my pocket.

Is there a solution to these problems? Can the volume rocker be disabled completely? I must add i'm probably noticing these things more because I've purchased a rather tight glove (Puro) for the phone, and the buttons get pressed rather easily.

You're screwed i'm afraid, the volume rocker is another one of the few stupid and unecessary design decisions on this phone, and can't as yet be switched off. I'd love a way to disable it completely.

Read much?

I say guys, that you are paranoid. Every single phone has a volume rocker, every single one I have had in the past 5 years (a lot of phones) and I have never had a problem like this. Why? Because if I buy a case it is supposed to fit the whole phone and not the phone only WITHOUT the rocker!!!

Volume gets adjusted in the pocket? I have been carrying phones in my jeans pockets forever and have never had such a problem! Do you keep playing
with the phone while it is in your pocket? I do not see why it would be happening if you were not playing with it there.

Once the OP says:
The glove fits rather nicely, if the buttons are pressed in the glove they will be pressed in my pocket as well, sooner or later.

Is it being pressed while in your pocket ATM or not? You are implying here it is not pressed while in your pocket ATM.

Then a sudden change of opinion:
Let's try some comprehensive reading: I indicated that my problem was that the rocker is constantly pressed when placed in my phone-glove or pants pocket.

Suddenly here you state it does get pressed while in the pocket. Which one is true? Are you just ASSUMING it will be pressed in your pocket? If you are, I can assure you it will not be happening as I am carrying the phone in my pockets and it is not being pressed AT ALL.

Comprehensive reading? You say 2 completely contradictory things there.

My Understanding:

1. You are carrying the phone in the glove ATM and it presses the rocker.

The glove is too tight, bad glove not phone!

2. You have not tried but you are assuming that it will do the same in your pocket.

I am telling you it will not!

Stop whining about something that is a normal solution in phones today and is a very useful solution at the same time, but you do not know how to use it or are using accessories that are not fit for the phone.

No offence but you're wrong. The volume rocker is WAY too slack and flimsy, resulting in many mistaken presses. Adding to this is extrudes out too far from the case which means it often gets caught when holding the phone.

People are telling you that they DO have issues with it, so I have no idea why you are posting such nonsense as: "don't know how to use it". Don't know how to use a volume rocket? Ok kiddo. ;)
