Root Wireless Tether for Cyanogen

I just installed Cyanogen, and I was coming from DroidMod

I didn't realize I was going to lose the Wireless Tether

Any way of installing it, or should I jump to another ROM before I invest too much time reconfiguring this one

I have it and it works fine. I am using the adamz low voltage kernal that someone hacked to make work for cyanogen. I am pretty sure that the stock kernel supports wifi tether too though

Is there an update.zip out there for download?.... I saw over and Cyan the thread with the hack... but is there a flash for it?.... for SPR.

I am pretty sure there isnt one. The stuff in that thread is the only stuff I have seen about an AdamZ kernel on cyanogenmod

I am working on putting together a themed version of 5.0.4.2 of the Cyanogen ROM. No credit to me on this (I'm just putting it together for em)...I just think that there are a lot of people that want to try the rom and maybe having a decent looking version and SPRecovery compatible would be appreciated.

I'll post it in a few minutes...hopefully.

I moved his post.

You could have just politely hit the !Report button next to his post and asked us to move it, you know.

Would saved both of us a lot of grief.

Why? Then he wouldn't have known what he did, and probably would have done the same thing again. Too many people post in the wrong forum, because to most people, Android and Droid mean the same thing. I wasn't rude, I was factual.

Edit: Also, in my experience with forums, the report button is for offensive/inappropriate posts, not because someone posted in the wrong forum.

Around here, reports are for anything requiring mod attention to guide users, including but not limited to infractions, banning spammers - and especially for helping newbs find their way. We'd rather have too many reports than too few.

And when I moved his post, I explained why per usual, and no doubt he's squared away now.

Dressing someone without giving them the Evo root forum link - less helpful, he already didn't know where to find his forum. Newbies post in wrong threads specifically because they're too new to figure out how to start a new thread - much less put it in the right place. Maybe funny to some, but everyone was new at something once or another, so there it is.

Please just report it next time, let us take it from there.
