***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

Have you seen how many pages long this thread is? haha Of course we're losing sleep over this phone. Not only that, but some of us are maybe even losing our minds over this thing!
Not only are some of us losing sleep over this phone, but some of us can't escape it even when we do fall asleep. I've actually had vivid dreams of this phone the past two nights, which shows a) how obsessed I've become with it and/or b) confirmation that it's coming out soon.

Between this forum and my dreams there's just no escaping the Incredible right now. Tuesday can't get here soon enough, as far as I'm concerned. :)

A "crazy obsession" is right! I don't know about the rest of you guys, but recently I have literally found myself seeing this damn phone in my dreams!! How crazy is that?!?
Too funny, as I just posted the same in response to Nash's earlier post prior to reading your comments. Hopefully once this phone's released and in my hands my life will somewhat begin returning to normal.:D

Don't know anything about this technipages site, but this is the only thing to do with the incredible on the site so my guess would be it's crap.

I just found it a little strange, is all. Just had a thought that if tech tips were starting to pop up it indicates an impending release soon. Hopefully. It probably means nothing I am sure. Just got a little Incredible OCD right now- latching on to any and every little tidbit I find.

I had a dream the other night that I was trying to buy it online and the website kept logging me out just as I was about to complete the purchase, over and over again.

Ok so since my upgrade date is October 2011 =[, how much do you guys think this phone will cost retail??

And plus i gotta pay sales tax...Geez
If the HTC HD2 unlocked is fetching $450.00 through T-Mobile, I gotta believe the Incredible's retail price tag will be somewhere between $499.00 - $599.00.

So...should I buy the phone on a 1 year plan or 2 year? With the LTE network getting ready to launch I think I will go with the 1 year. Or, I do have an upgrade on one of my other phones on my familly plan that is not the primary line. Maybe i'll use the non-primary upgrade for the Incredible, and hold onto my NE2 for next year and the LTE phones. Any thoughts?

One thing to consider is that LTE is only going to be available to non-phone devices (think Mifi or USB dongle) for quite some time before its available to regular consumers. I think both 1xRTT and EVDO were rolled out the same way. IIRC they said full coverage (you know- the map) won't be until 2012 or 13.

I expect that the Incredible will be more than enough phone for most people until LTE is available. May as well get the 2 year price if you plan on staying with VZW. But if you like to have the latest and greatest then go 1 year.

this thing is going to be something game changing. I believe that wholeheartedly.

(hi everybody! lurker since october when i decided NOT to get a droid, like most of you)

how is this phone (that i REALLY want, don't get me wrong..) going to be a game changer? It's not. At all. It's essentially a droid + an incremental performance boost in the iphone form factor. it's just a better revision of the same thing we've been seeing for months.. and that's a step in the right direction!

game changer = step from blackberry curve to the droid. droid to the incred is just progress!

side note: how the crap are we supposed to fit an invisible shield on this hunchback?

Haven't seen this posted yet, but here is a link to vote on the emerging tech award for CTIA. No listing for HTC yet, but I'm sure it will be there soon...
CTIA - The Wireless Association

I think that's all the listings and what's being voted on and nothing from HTC.

What are you expecting to see? I doubt that's going to change.

Good find. Let's all vote for the Incredible here if and when it pops in:

"CTIA is offering companies two additional opportunities to win an award. Web visitors may vote for the Best Online Pick at"

What if my product has not launched yet and is embargoed until a certain date?
If your product is embargoed, you may indicate that on the online submission form as well as the date until which the product is embargoed. Your entry will not appear on the public site until that embargo date has passed. Also, depending on the embargo expiration date, your entry may be excluded from onsite signage. Your product will still be viewed and evaluated by the panel of judges.

Been lurking here since around p30, and finally jumped into the fray!

To clarify an embargo release:
- The full info [press releases, pics, specs, release dates] have been sent to analysts, press, etc to let them prepare their coverage. This material cannot be published until the time and date specified in the embargo, which is usually co-incident with the formal announcement.

On the 'is it real' & Supersonic conjecture:
The various pics/renderings etc are useful, but the clincher is the video showing the Inc booting with the VZW splash screen. That pretty much nails it IMHO.

This forum is crack, but the Inc looks like its worth every minuted burned here.

double freakin' w00t! :) :)
