Help Swift Key Keyboard won't work

I'm not able to get the swift key keyboard to work on my Rhyme. It's enabled but the standard keyboard still shows. Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried long pressing a text input area. This should bring up an option dialog where you can choose which keyboard you want to use. You can also have it default to Swiftkey in the future.

I had tried both of those things without success. The long press in a text box doesn't bring up anything for me. I did get it somewhat working. I get the swiftkey keyboard but no word suggestions.

I'm also really struggling with sounds. It seems as though I can only have on sound for mail and text messages, I can't have separate settings (like one sound for texts and just vibrate for email which is what I had on my old phone.)

My wife has the Rhyme and the sounds using Sense are a little different. I think you need go into whatever the Messaging app is for sense, goto setting and notifications and you can set the notification sound from there. Same for email. Be forewarned, she still gets both the dock sounds and phone sounds when her phone is docked. It is just weird. I am not sure about swiftkey, maybe there is a setting in it or it will take a bit for it to learn what you are typing.

Well, once my wife got hers figured out, she absolutely loves it, so stay patient. She got hers near release day sometime in November I think. If you get really stuck on anything, let me know and I will try to figure it out on her phone (she works till 8:00 PM today and tomorrow, so maybe not until the weekend before I can get my hands on it).
