You do want to wipe your data for the install which will kill all your apps. Now for the good news: Your paid apps will reappear in the Market. Your best bet is to do a Titanium backup of your apps with data. After you flash your rom, download Titanium again from the market and restore the apps with the app data (this will have your free and paid apps). You will have to recreate your home screen but that is about it. I do it all the time (many times a day).
although it backsup you apps, I dont think it links them to the market, so updates will not be shown.
I do back them up, but i then download them from the market to make sure they are linked.
or get Find great Android apps and games - AppBrain
its free and keeps all your app online so you can check them and back them up everywhere. also, I think it was re-download them from the market so they are fully supported.
is there a back up app that automatically installs all the apps instead of having to go through them one by one and have to hit install and all of them?

Titanium will do a batch backup and restore of all your apps (at least I know the donate version does) . It also comes with a utility to make sure all your apps remain linked to the market. I use it (sometimes a few times a day) and it has never failed me.
Does anyone know how to get the corp calandar back? I didn't realize it would be removed, and now I can't link/sync...
I guess I could restore my pre-cyanogen, and try and find it that way... but it would be nice if someone has found/could link to the .apk file that I can just download and be done.
