Help I need help with my moto cliq

Hi i changed my iphone for a motorola cliq, im using a prepaid service of a claro puerto rico and the cliq is still locked to t-mobile but when i insert my cousins t-mobile sim card i tried to activate the moto blurs service via wifi because my cousins sim card does not have data plan the problem is when i click on the botton to turn on the wifi the phone automaticly restarts and i tried this for about 20 minutes and it stills doing it.

Anyone know whats happening?why it its doing this?

By the way does anyone knows a site where i can buy an unlock code to unlocked it from t-mo?

there is a motorola cliq forum here which will probably know...

unlock codes i always buy from Ebay.

I've used cellunlock dot net in the past. They are fast getting the codes back.

its not your data plan you do have the option of activating over wifi which doesnt need cell network... the problem is with the phone. the wifi may be damaged or malfunctioning... my first cliq was the same way... when ever i turned on the wifi the phone will reboot...

@truoc444: what is the advantage of unlocking my phone? WIll using the website u provided to get unlock codes harm my cliq??? I am going to Canada in May and want my phone unlocked, but, i want to make sure it will actually unlock. Also....why is it we have to put in a sim card from ANOTHER carrier to unlock the phone? It doesn't erase THAT persons sim info does it? I'm sorry...im new to the "unlocking" world.

sim unlock is just to remove a restriction code on the phone not the sim. (it will not do any thing to the sim or the phone, sim unlock is not illegal. the only reason carrier put that there is to prevent ppl from taking a contract out canceling that contract and useing that phone on a different wireless carrier. the price that you pay on your monthly bill is subsidised for the phone as well, that why when u cancel your contract you get a $200 ETF)

placing a different carrier sim into the phone is just to activate a program that states sim is locked please enter subsidy unlock code.

after you sim unlock your device you can place any GSM sim into that device and it will work as long as the radio frequence permits(AT&T 3g network is different to T-Mobile 3g's network only for data not voice... voice and data EDGE will work but not hspda or 3G)
also if you travel as u said you will not have to pay roaming and other international fees ($400 or higher bill)
