Root [ROM/DIY] JoyOS and LewasOS

got it ported over using reppards 9/15 build.. wifi, data works out of the box, havent tryed mms, camera causes phone to reboot, havent tried overclocking it yet to see if things smooth out, a little laggy at times, but overall a really nice interface, i could get used to it. will post a link to my port when its done uploading to dropbox

next port will have chinese calendars removed... its to bad they are in chinese because the widgets are very nice looking. gps works with no issues.. however the calendar app with the weather wont detect my location. buttons are funky.. pressing power takes you to your home screen, as well as the home button, have to use the widgets to turn off screen is kinda annoying unless you wait the full 15 seconds before putting it back in your pocket..

All the buttons worked fine on my port?

same for me, the only thing I can not get to work on either ports is MMS, and on JoyOS I can't get Data to work either. When I'm all finished with moving I'll dive back in to this.

For the data I think there was a network option, just cluck where it says metropcs.

And I think I read somewhere that MMS will not work for LeWa ports.. but im not entirely sure.

incoming calls on my port also causes phne to lock up and vibrate continuously until you pull the battery.. may try it with joneidys sense rom since it is mostly stock

that didn't happen with the joyOS port i made. but that would be cool if you could use the sense ROM. I didn't think you could do that since the tutorial says you need a CM7 based ROM. But then again you would know better than me. I actually switched the wife's optimus back to joneidy's sense so she could have more stability (she's starting to get upset to find a different ROM on her phone every morning when she wakes up).

Why don't you do this stuff to your phone??? I did this to my mom's phone, she just hates the battery always dying fast.....my dad has stock...he barely knows how to use the stock ROM.....I figured he shouldn't be messing with root abilities ....

It was my phone until I got the admire. Giving her a different Rom is easier to deal with than switching phones back & forth. Plus I hate metro's activation/deactivation process; it never works the first time for me.
