i have this cable in the zte u960 box.please tell me the use of this cable.i think this cable for broadband usb device ? usb drive not working in u960 when i connect this cable.

Having QPST correctly installed is, in general, a good idea, at least to backup the NVram in case something goes wrong, or to restore a completely bricked phone, in the worst case scenario.

Can I use One Click Updater now correctly on Windows XP machine because I got my IMEI?

Yes, I think you should do it.

btw: when you flash a different IMEI via QPST it shows 2 IMEIs when entering *983*154#... Sim1: new flashed IMEI. Sim2 still original IMEI. I'm still working on changing the sim2 IMEI...

The USB device needs an external power supply, because the phone can't provide it via the USB-port.

I was wrong. I never tried to power a pendrive, only keyboard and mouse. Then the problem might be that USB host mode is not supported. I know for sure that from 3.0 it is supported and working, but I'm not sure about 2.x...

I am successfully using it with my VW kulfatec BT car kit(I think this is parrot kit inside), I am able to browse my phone book(on the head unit) but call lists is showing empty all the time.

May be you have to reset the car kit as in my case the unit can only be paired with 3 phones then I have to factory reset to connect.

The case was that Parrot devices seems to have some manufacturers preinstalled and they refuse connections to "unknown" devices. Due to this behaviour the Parrot devices denied access when starting the pairing process from the phone to the BT-device.

Once i started the connection process from the Parrot device and pair it with my mobile it works without any trouble.

The case was that Parrot devices seems to have some manufacturers preinstalled and they refuse connections to "unknown" devices. Due to this behaviour the Parrot devices denied access when starting the pairing process from the phone to the BT-device.

Once i started the connection process from the Parrot device and pair it with my mobile it works without any trouble.

BTW my Alpine car stereo, has the BT section provided by Parrot and worked w/o any problem even when the phone was brand new, with the original ROM.

But I updated the car stereo FW every time a new version was released.

Is your pendrive fat32 formatted ? I think you can only mount fat32 filesystem and not ntfs without modding the kernel.

Unfortunally I've lost my usb-otg cable and I cannot try now to mount a pendrive with my current rom (stock 2B07)

hi, it's about two days that I've some problem with the play store and I cannot install or upgrade any application. the download phase works and I see the progress bar in the notification area, but when the bar arrives to 100% it then disappear but the installation progress bar won't start.
the play store app don't show any error and I've already try to do a "clear data".
have you ever had a problem like this?

Well I have to say something about etotalk:

Support ist perfekt! I've managed together with the etotalk support to get TWO different IMEI numbers!!!
Also they send me files and informations via email, skype and msn! Everything was perfekt!

Also my first U960 was broken (Battery lock problem). I send the phone back to china and they send me a vomplete new one!

Ok - sometimes it took a day or two to get answer, but they have a lots of things to do... So that's ok!

So I can really reccoment etotalk! It's my 3rd phone from them and they really helped me with my problems regarding the U960!

I'm not working for eto at al and I do not get discounts

So my U960 is running on 2B06 basebands with etotalk 1.6c rom with two different IMEI# from old Nokia phones from me

Please, this is very important for us who do not own a U960 yet but plan to buy one soon and wish to know what issues to expect.

Please, this is very important for us who do not own a U960 yet but plan to buy one soon and wish to know what issues to expect.

Bugs, in general, are not always absolute facts, and on phones are also triggered by different usage, operators, nation, etc...

For now the bugs sill present are related to the international number format and the need of duplicate numbers for each contact, and the SMS w/o a caller number (the ones sent from banck, thelephone operators and so on) that are completely skipped by the original SMS client, Handcent SMS is a fully working workaround for SIM2, a partly working workaround for SIM1.

Very likely both of them aren't affecting the Chinese network, so I guess they will never fixed by ZTE.

as you can see on the latest messages of the Google thread someone solved by manually uninstall the update... but with my phone as soon I reopen the play store it automatically update to the bugged version... I have to wait for the new update...

It's not a problem with our phone but it's a bug with the latest play store app version:

it is not updating issue because my dual sim star A1200 has same play store version 3.7.13(its running as normally) as zte u 960.
