[Sprint] Voicemail Apk

Anyone running a voicemail app? I have the Android one saved in titanium but I'm not sure if I can restore it without messing things up. Its older from the og. If not any suggestions other than calling the old fashion way?

You can always do a nandroid, restore the apk, and see what happens....At least if things get buggy you can restore you nand. Let us know how it goes!

Not sure what your asking, but you can check your voicemail with out using your mobile phone minutes...

Dial your own mobile phone number from either a land line or a friends mobile phone, let the phone go to voicemail.

As soon as you hear your outgoing message either press the # key or the * key (one or the other works on various voicemail system)

The voicemail system will then ask you to enter your passcode. Enter your passcode and you can check your voicemail the same way you would from your mobile phone.

Not worried about the minutes, just was used to using the voicemail Apk on all my android phones. It was easier than calling in, going through the steps, and entering my password.

Think I'll try frenchy's suggestion. I'll post back with results.

I was looking for this too, but didn't find an easy option. I ended up enabling google voicemail for my sprint line (not full integration - just voicemail). So, if anyone calls my regular (or GV) number, and I don't answer it, it gets pushed to my google voicemail and I can use the google voice app to review it (or read the free transcription)

Just downloaded and set up. Just what I was looking for and works great. Do you know how to set up a personalized greeting?

The only drawback I found with this approach is that if somebody calls me, it first rings on my phone 4 times, and then, if I don't answer, it redirects to google voice where it rings 4 more times (only the caller hears these 4 rings though) before it gets kicked to voicemail.

So, a caller ends up hearing the phone ring 8 times before they get my greeting. Because I have given my GV number to folks, I can't really reduce the number of times the GV rings before kicking to voicemail... but other than that, this is great - I get an Email right away (with a link to the voicemail) and it tries to transcribe it too :)

Edit: I haven't tried this, but I suspect that we might be able to set up individual greetings for different callers (I know it works for calls made to GV# - hopefully, this works for calls made to the sprint# and pushed to GV Voicemail)

Okay, I figured out how to record a personal greeting. It needs to be from a computer. It can't be done from the phone. For anyone interested follow these steps:

1) Log into GV from your computer.
2) Select the gear icon on the top right.
3) Go to settings.
4) select VM tab.
5) Select record greeting.

Google will then call your phone and provide instructions to record your greeting. You can also record your name as well (follow the same steps).

6) Select save changes.

All done.

You do have the option to set up voicemails for specific callers or groups. I personally have not done this, but it is possible.

Thanks for putting this info here for people who may want a similar setup. I fully integrated GV on my Gnex and use my GV number for business and give my friends and family my Sprint number. It works great, especially with the GV android app!

No problem. I want the subforum to have as much information as possible.

Yeah I'm really liking this. Disappointed I didn't find out about gv earlier. Was this available on the og?
