Hyundai makes excellent cars. They have come a long way in a very short time and is probably the best bang-for-your-buck out there.
I both like and dread car shopping at the same time. I don't like the back-and-forth but a car is a big purchase so that part is always fun. Our cars are paid for and this is the first time in a long time we haven't had a car payment. However, we are in a unique position to where we
can afford a car payment, since almost everything else is paid for. The Mini actually holds its value quite well, surprisingly enough. We have a very specific number we're willing to finance for 3 years, and not a penny more (our goal is to pay it off in about half the time). As long as the Honda dealer gives us enough for the trade-in, and/or drops enough off the price of the car, we'll probably go for it. We have the advantage that we don't
need the new car, so if our conditions aren't met, we'll walk away. We have the upper hand/advantage - at least we like to think we do.
