I just received my Samsung Galaxy S3 a few days ago and the screen seems to be flickering. I only downloaded a few apps and made some minor changes to the settings. It doesn't do it on everything and its most noticeable when the notification tray is down. Whatever is in the background flickers. Also, using the google maps, the maps seem to get all distorted. This video shows what was happening.

Verizon hasn't heard of the issue yet. I just did a factory reset, and its still doing it. I know its a new phone to the US and there will be bugs but this one seems pretty basic. Anyone else having these issues?

I noticed flickering when doing my comparison of the AT&T version vs International.

The area's that I noticed it the most was when i was in settings menu or some other selection area, when I clicked on a selection in the settings menu, the selection area (for example - brightness) would flicker before the brightness page came up. A little different and less extreme than what is shown on your video, but was still an annoyance.

Its pretty obvious so im sure they'll catch it and fix it with a new firmware. I dont think its anything they cant correct with a minor software update.

Do you have your power saving mode turned on? Perhaps turning it off will reduce it some...

Its stock from the factory reset and its still happening. Checked and the power save mode isn't on.

I would definitely go back to Verizon and show the screen right in front of them. That should be replaced asap.

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do. I just spoke with Samsung's support and they said its probably a hardware issue and not a software issue since it was happening right after I reset the phone. They haven't seen the issue yet either. Samsung would have me send it in to be repaired vs Verizon who (I think) will send me a new phone first.

I just wanted to make sure it wasn't just some update I was missing but after doing a bunch of searching, I couldn't find others with the same issue.
