Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

It must be some secret class they all take in Engineering Management, cause its the exact same here where I work

Its ALL management!

Morning everyone!!

Meet to plan refreshments for the meeting to plan the meeting (including reserving conference rooms for one hour when a meeting never ends on time) and by the time you get to the meeting following all the planning meetings no one remembers why the hell you wanted to meet in the first place.

Gotto love corporate productivity.

Adjuster: it's called Titanium Backup Pro version. The paid version allows you to make batch backups of ALL apps & data. Just know that when you do a batch restore, ONLY RESTORE USER APPS & DATA, not System apps!

Batch restore takes less than a minute on average :)

MyBackup Pro will back up all SMS/MMS to the SD card or the cloud, and restore them on the other side of the flash.

These are PAID apps, and worth more than they cost, believe me! Money well spent :)

Truth! My ROM flashes go like this:

1.) Backup all User Apps and Data
2.) Reboot Recovery
3.) Wipe Data/Factory Reset
4.) Wipe Davlik
5.) Flash new ROM
6.) Flash Google Apps
7.) Reboot
8.) Download Titanium Backup
9.) Batch restore User Apps + Data
10.) Set up my ROM specific preferences.

Tip: It makes things go MUCH faster to do this on wifi because your Google Sync will be quite large if you have multiple e-mail accounts with contacts and calendars and then your app updates and such.

Morning folks. Hope you all had a good weekend!

Having a slight problem on the Nexus that I've had before but can't really tell you how I fixed it, it just stopped. Maps is draining my battery pretty good, especially on cellular data. Keep awake times are pretty high considering I haven't used Maps for anything lately. In the 30-45 minute drive from home to work, I lost 10% battery and Maps keep awake was around 5 minutes and GPS for 3 minutes. Like I said, have had this creep up before, but no clue how it got resolved.

Yeah, mine is having some battery issues too. Unplugged from wall at 100% and after a bit of googling, radar check, tweet checks over about 30 minutes, it was down to 89% over wifi. Okay, thats cool. I wake up about 630 this morning and the battery is at 29% after sleeping. Pretty sure nothing was running, as I pressed home screen. Guess I need to get into the habit of swiping away all apps before bed.

And... I don't think I have powered off in a few days.

Good afternoon everyone! Monday started off a little dramatic for me. Totally slept through my alarm and my phone woke me up at 9:15 AM... it was someone from work, calling to check on me. :( My dog was just laying next to the bed... I was like, WTF why didn't you wake me up?! She just wagged her tail at me. *sigh* No problem that I was late; I just hate that it happened.

Had a good weekend. Worked like crazy on my FPV helicopter and it's finally done. I just have to put a couple of test-flights on it to work out the bugs but I think we're gonna have fun with it.

Went out to a nice dinner with the wife on Saturday night. Last night we went to a friend's house for dinner. She lives in our neighborhood so we walked over there. When we walked home around 9:30, I swear it was hotter/muggier than when we went at 6:00. I checked the temp when I got home - since we were drenched after a 7-minute walk - and it was 91F at 9:30. Ugh, going to welcome the cooldown this week.

Speaking of, I snapped a couple of cool pics with my Razr Maxx while on the way home from running errands on Saturday. Don't worry, I was at a stoplight. :) Heavy (but brienf) rains rolled through, and I caught a couple of pics of the rain before it got to us. Not bad for a camera in a phone if you ask me.

So...um...anyone bummed that we will not get to see a TomKat "dogfight"? ;)

Nope. Sorry if I disappoint you but I could not care less about TomKat, anything related to a Kardashian or who's on or off American Idol or Dancing With The Stars. I have completely detached myself from popular culture.

EDIT: On another note, I am thoroughly geeked out about Jelly Bean hitting AOSP! :D :D :D

Lean Kernel rockin' on Ginny! We'll see how things work out over the next 24 hours or so!

That is a SERIOUSLY dangerous looking burger. I think my arteries gasped when I saw that picture!

EDIT: Jelly Belly 2.6 is out! AOSP Hybrid! Clean wipe and JB Bootloader recommended!
2.7 full AOSP ROM is coming soon!

Never tried Jelly Belly. When I tried vicious it seamed too "plain" so I reverted back to liquid. What does Jelly Belly offer? Any mods or tweaks or the like?
