Desire to fit the Nexus One dock?

I know I have made the point in the OP but another pic featured in a review from a Russian site.

Mobile-review.com HTC Desire (Bravo) - first look

I have been googling and can't seem to find any proper/official Google/HTC docks for the N1 yet anyway. Would be really nice if it did have the connectors, as I would want the car dock, so you could use the satnav and keep the juice levels high when you get out the car at the other end. Oh and a bedside dock too. And one for the office of course... And one for the kitchen .... ...

I've posted about this on another site but no one seems to have a clue.

One thing you will notice is that every Desire version with N1 style contacts on the bottom has a red ring around the camera on the back. Every Desire without contacts has a graphite coloured ring (pretty much the same as the rest of the body) around the camera.

There is definitely two versions (not including the silver and black) of the graphite Desire floating about.

But like EnochRoot, I haven't found anything yet (apart from this thread!). Would be great to have it as standard for docks and such.

This is the reply from HTC

Thank you for choosing to contact HTC Europe.

The HTC Desire comes with a USB connection and not a dock connector.

And regarding the red circle around the camera it’s nothing we have seen here but it can be different from what country you buy the phone. But since the phone is not yet out it’s hard for us to explain that at the moment. If you wait till the device has been released I can give you more accurate information.

I hope this has answered your questions.

If there is anything else you need from us, please feel free to contact us again.

My own response from HTC. I thought I'd change the question slightly and simple ask where can I get one, since answers often depend on the question asked:

"Dear Sir.

The images you have seen may have been prototypes since the device is not released yet.
You can check the phone when it comes out on the 6 of April.
Then you can see for yourself how it looks like.

Thanks for contacting HTC Europe"

Now, I took 2 things from this:

1. He's not sure about those Desire versions with the N1 style contacts.
2. No one seems to agree on when the Desire is officially coming out. T-Mo says it's selling today and in shops on Monday. Devicewire recently said stocks will be in on Monday. Amazon lists 1st April. Etc etc.

Oh well, we tried. I guess it's now let to wait for the contact-less version.
