I have a cd a buddy gave me with lots of apps on it. how can I get it from my cd to the phone. I tried dragging the folder to the card via the usb and its getting on the card but where can I find the folders on the card so I can open and download the apps?? Am I doing this right?? Thanks for all the help in advance.

Hi there,

you need to install a file browser such as Linda Manager. From there you can browse to the directory on your SD card where you copied the apk files too and then click on them. It should then ask if you want to open with the package installer. You will have also needed to allow 3rd party app installs from Settings > Applications > tick 'Unknown sources'.

Some of them are getting installed and can find them. Others are being installed like beautiful widgets but I have no icon for it. When I go to the widgets page its in there and I add it but cant change the skin or update the temp. Just looks plain. When I download the skin I cant seem to add it. UGGGGHHHH. Way to many folders and dont know which ones to use.

Applications will have an icon in the app drawer, widgets will not (they must be added in the way you already described). If you have software that doesn't show up either way, it may be broken?

The rest of your post seems to relate specifically to Beautiful Widgets (which I don't use, so sorry no help); you might try to search for that or visit its home page.
