I live in Indonesia, & my friend (USA) give me a phone (huawei m860). Unfortunatly that phone locked to american (Metro PCS). Is there anyone here can help me what I need to do so I can use this phone in Indonesia. & what software I need? thanks before

Your best bet is to contact the service provider in INDONESIA & find out if the network uses CDMA phones. If so, it may be possible to use the ASCEND. Even then, I'd still recommend that you look at some better options for a phone to use while in INDONESIA.

Main reason for this is the phone is more than likely over a year old & if it has the original battery, it's probably worn past its service life & won't hold a charge for very long, especially if you use it for anything else other than making phone calls.

But, if you're determined to use this phone(if possible/compatible w/available networks), I'd ask around @ the site XDA DEVELOPERS,as they are more likely to have members that are more knowledgeable on this subject.
