I'm currently running BACKside 0502 and recently bought a 16GB Class 4 SanDisk microSD for Link2SD. A 2GB partition, Link2SD running. Brilliant, right?
Not so much.
First, there's the main issue. Rebooting. I go through Heck every time I reboot. Because once it's done, it freezes. Sometimes on the home screen, sometimes on the lock screen. So I have to do a battery pull and try again.
And it repeats.
And repeat.
Sometimes it takes 10+ battery pulls before the phone is stable enough to use.
And not to mention slowly (but constantly) dropping space.
I went from 120 megs to about 116 megs and now 115 megs... but I didn't install anything new! And I'm constantly clearing cache.
Help? Thanks.

No idea, I never had any of these problems when I used Link2SD. I haven't used it since early October 2011, so there may have been changes made to it that are causing problems with the ROM.

All I can suggest is to mess around with the options, that is what I did to learn it when I used it. There was no guide for it when I started using it.

This is not a solution BUT I recently read that holding vol up and the power button will sometimes save you a battery pull. It may not work in every situation but its worth a try, I hate pulling my battery.

I use link2sd and I must say it took a while before mine was stable again. I did a fix permissions a few times and it actually lost a few of my apps, but I was able to restore with Titanium Backup and then re-link. I have found it takes a while for the phone to wake up fully when you have just added new links, but mine is stable now. So recommendation is fix permissions, but make sure you have your apps backed up

Thanks so much, you guys. I ended up reflashing and restoring and relinking and rebooting.... and it worked!!! From June 18 to June 21, my phone was flawlessly amazing. But, last night (June 21), my phone had a little hiccup.
I was in the middle of an intense game of OvenBreak. I pressed the jump button, and the phone froze. I was shocked. My phone had literally zero problems since the reflash of June 18. What had happened?
The phone just rebooted itself. I tried to keep calm. The phone finished booting up, and the lockscreen was frozen. I was scared. I ended up having to pull the battery. This went on fro quite some time. I didn't know what the heck was going on. How'd it go from flawless to not even being able to get past the lock screen?
After lots of pulls, I decided to head into Recovery and restore my most recent backup. It ended up being BEFORE I reflashed, restored, relinked and rebooted. It's a good thing I made a backup right before I restored the June 18 backup.
I just restored the backup I made about 5 minutes earlier, and the lockscreen had a little issue. But, it got past within seconds, still.
So, I still have little issues with the lockscreen and a bit of freezing here and there. Not anything that doesn't get fixed within seconds, of course, but the phone definitely isn't what it was, say, 24 hours ago.
I feel as if my phone had a stroke.
Any input from you guys? Everything is appreciated.

A little tip to make partitioning the uSD easier (takes a little longer but is fool proof) : Using the recovery- in the advanced section select the partitioning option. Select the size you want. When done put uSD card in your PC and reformat the smaller partition to something other than the ext.3 that the recovery made (FAT32 can be used with any ROM) as ext.3 doesn't work with some ROM's. Mini Tool Partitioning Wizard will do this just fine.

This morning I experienced lock screen freezing and my phone wouldn't wake up after falling asleep! Kept occurring after multiple battery pulls. Phone is stable as of now, but who knows what could happen.
Yes, I've fixed permissions. Multiple times.
I'm a little sad because I've seen so many happy owners of this phone and all I have is bad memories of malfunctions.
Any suggestions other than replace the card? I guess I'll do it if it comes to it, but spending more money doesn't sound ideal.
I don't even know if these issues are LINK2SD related, but I'm sick of reboots and freezing and sleeps of death and battery pulls. I've endured it since November. I'm done. I need a solution.

My laptop is at home so I won't have an opportunity to test stability with formatted SD because I'm currently at an airport in layover waiting to go home.
But as of now the phone's pretty stable after a couple battery pulls and lockscreen freezing.
Man. I just want all these phone problems gone, I've never owned a truly stable phone in my life.
Edit: Just had some freezing issues. Sigh.

Alright, update time. I just got home from a trip and turned on my Optimus V to only experience lots and lots of issues. Battery pulls, rebooting, freezing, all in less than 24 hours. So, this morning, I decided to take out the microSD and the phone is uber smooth for the past 10 minutes (longer than it has been working, mind you), so I'm kind of sure that my microSD is the issue.
I just don't want to pay $30 to replace it. :(
EDIT: Before anyone asks, it's, too late to return it.

I was having a good day today, too.
That's right. From the moment I started using my Optimus V this morning, not one single hiccup throughout the day. Until about, 5 minutes ago. The app I was using force closed on me, I went to the settings to check something, and the phone froze. It's still frozen as I type this.
I wish, I wish, I wish, wish, wish for stability. I'm gonna hit up SanDisk now, but really, I don't think it's the card's fault. I've had these issues on stock ROM, with stock SD, as well as BACKside (multiple downloads, flashes, and build versions) with stock SD and SanDisk Class 4.
Maybe I just wasn't destined to have a great Optimus V experience.
Sigh.
EDIT: After unmounting the microSD, freezing still continued. Don't think my problems are linked to the microSD.

Thanks for all the help, guys.
I think I'm gonna ditch Virgin Mobile.
I'll buy an unlocked Galaxy Nexus from Google, and activate it on T-Mobile's Prepaid 4G Network, I get unlimited texting, 5GB of unthrottled data, 100 minutes (with unlimited N&W) for $30 a month! Free activation, I think it's a GREAT deal.
I'll keep my Optimus around, to play with.
But I think I'll be done soon.
