Our Push for Google & Verizon to Promote 3/23

I am creating this to show our support to Google and Verizon to do a better job of promoting the Droid and Android Market.

Almost everyday in the USA Today, there is a full-page ad promoting Apple's App Store.

I purchased my Droid over the I phone for two reasons. Yes, one was the look and promotion. The other was supposedly better 3G coverage.

So.....GOOGLE AND VERIZON, PROMOTE, PROMOTE, PROMOTE

DROID!

I must say it sickens me watching AT&T ads distorting the truth, but, Verizon started it and is not finishing it.

There's nothing to do anymore. VZ called em out on their shitty 3g and ATT is STILL beating around the bush and making commercials on everything BUT that.

Big win for VZ in my book.

For those who pay attention, you're right. But the average consumer doesn't realize that AT&T's commercials regarding their coverage don't specifically refer to 3G. Verizon is talking apples, and AT&T is talking oranges. But the average consumer only sees fruit.

What I would like to see from Verizon is a copycat commercial, where a guy is sitting there eating his soup, with an AT&T 3G coverage map over his head, just like AT&T's commercial with the Verizon map. Except in this case, the guy doesn't even notice the falling map pieces because they are so insignificant in size.

Couldn't agree more. Ignorance is bliss. Glad I got away from that circus!!

I understand and can agree, but I also feel that if something doesn't change, it will just become another gadget.

When you look at all of the "new" android phones, will we "the droid owners" be left behind?

Also, you are seeing more price cuts on the DROID. I purchased mine through Wirefly for a hundred bucks. Now you can get it for $20.

As previously stated, USA Today has daily ad's and I never see Droid ad's.

I would love to see Android continue to tear iPhone a new one.

I have an Apple fanboy here where I work. He is constantly telling me how "secure" OS X and iPhone are.

I hit him with iPhone SMS database hacked in 20 seconds, news at 11 -- Engadget this morning.

Needless to say, he got REAL defensive. lmao

That isn't even new news. Ever since the very first iPhone came out, there have been news reports just like that one plastered all over the place. I remember watching a show on G4 before the very first iPhone was ever launched where one of the phones sent to the studio was hacked by one of the guys on their show. This was like a week before the public release. Steve Jobs announced a firmware patch following tight behind the release, but that still hurt their sales a bit. I don't think the iPhone has ever really been "Secure".
