Galaxy S3 news and more !!

Just letting you guys know that I stopped into my local Metro PCS store and talked to the owner/operator about the Samsung Galaxy s2 or s3 coming to Metro PCS and his response was as follows " The Samsung Galaxy s2 is not coming to Metro but the Samsung Galaxy s3 is coming to Metro PCS in September" That would seem about right as I have heard a lot about it coming out in the fourth business quarter.
So take that information as you will. I also asked how much it would be and he said $ 400.00. I talked to him on 7-17-2012.

I'm going to wait too. I want the S3 sooo bad! I wouldn't mind waiting til a Black Friday special, or Christmas special (which was when I got the Esteem).

I call bs! esteem was close to 400 at metro when released..i dont think the s3 wouldnt be that cheap by then
It may very well turn out to be a heavily-emasculated version...to the point other concurrent models seem a viable option.

And that could in turn open the door to hardware hacking of the radios...

At any rate, i doubt Metro's version will be in the same page as the top carriers'...

I'd be delighted to have to eat my words..

And i would pay any price whatsoever IF the top featured-version(from another carrier) could be made to run on Metro(w/o losing 4g)...:hmmmm:

but then again.... all the us versions are the same, all just modified to work with that specific carrier. So, maybe by that time something.better will come out, and metro will have the same gs3 other carriers are using.

i seen the galaxy s1 with the dyle feature prototype and like joshua said we talking about a $600 phone comming to metro? i think not i can see either the s1 or s2 comming but the s3 is out of metro's budget even if they took away from the ram and cpu its too much for metro to afford. and like many times b4 its always been said authorized dealers know nothing but speculation amoung other authorized dealers. sometimes sad we the consumer know more than dealers...

what makes a car what it is? the shell or the motor? same principle with the phone what makes a phone what it is? the hard plastic case or the hardware and components? so if they promise a s3 i expect a s3 not a piece of hard plastic with samsung's brand on it along with metro's. anything less shall be consider a counterfeit!!

Sign me up for two, :D;). Yet I will keep my two Esteems as backups, just like I got my two Optimus as backups too ;):D. My wife is driving me crazy that she really wants the GS3, well, me too, LOL. I wonder if there's going to be an LG Esteem 2, just like most phones do :hmmmm:. Good info though, just hope its true, with Metro we never know.

Sure, if there's an LG Revolution 2. :p

Sent from my LG-MS910 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-6

Yes, you are right in some sense, the LG Revolution2 never made it and it was replace by the LG Spectrum so it's not called LG Esteem2 and Metro doesn't have it (the LG Spectrum that is) :D. Now the LG Spectrum specs are pretty good and better than the Esteem, so it would be an upgrade on that area of specs but the design is boring ;). But those specs on a slim down Esteem 2 would be great:p.

the spectrum is sweet, and I would love to see it come to Metro if the S3 doesnt make it.

I like the esteem, but the spectrum is thinner, lighter, and feels more natural in my hand.

I may have to flash this thing over to metro..... ;)

I would love to see it too on Metro, I just like the Esteem design a little bit better, but with those specs and the right price, hey I'll get it too ;).
And by the way, your work its legendary PG .

metro pcs should be getting 4 lte phones I know one is gonna be an HTC phone don't know which one yet and the s 3 which that phone might be called the dyle phone I heard its gonna be around $500 supposedly.

edit: k its the HTC one v coming to metro

they can keep the one v. too small 3.7 screen. what a joke. if they want to get a good HTC it should be the Evo 4g lte. Now "that's" a nice phone

If the S3 is released by Metro around the holidays...by then I am sure the price will come down some.

Don't forget ...the first blackberry on Metro was 499.00 . Samsung is set to release multiple new phones that will cause the momentum of the S3 to drop.

Along with that will come a drop in prices. The Iphone 4S costs $198.00 to make.. n they charge what... like 600 off contract. So they are making 400 bucks profit? That is ridiculous.

There is no reason why the S3 cannot be brought to Metro for between 400-500 bucks. I paid 399.00 for the Indulge when it came out ( stupid ...I know) so...I know that this CAN be done!

Yea I agree on the S3, but I never thought the Indulge was worth $399, maybe $199 when it first came out tops lol.
