Let me put it this way:

US

4.3" HTC HD2 - Windows Mobile
4.3" HTC EVO 4G - Android

Europe

4.3" HTC HD2 - Windows Mobile
...................- Android

See what im getting at? Us Europeans need some 4.3" android goodness. I was dead set on getting the desire but this new phone really reminded me of what i like about the HD2 (big screen). Im thinking of waiting a little and seeing if any rumors start flying around about a possible GSM 4.3" android handset.

What are the chances we'll see one this summer? Or even by the end of the year? Dare i say, or ever? Im about to cry now..

Hey. The UK is getting the Xperia X10 on all their carriers, and much of Europe is getting them soon (next week or two). The X10 hasn't even been announced for the U.S. and Rogers in Canada will only say "coming soon".

We all have our problems. ;p

at least you know its coming right?

I just need a simple rumor, a simple leak from somewhere and i'll be happy

would it be a good idea for me to hold off the Desire until we hear something about a European release for 4.3" android phone? My problem is that if i get the Desire now, there's no way i'll ever get any new phone for maybe 2-3 years (dont ask :p) I know it means having to wait maybe till the end of the year. What do u think?

That is my idea too, I am keeping the HTC Desire ... but not for waiting 4.3" Android.

More for this: 1.5GHz Snapdragon and at least AMOLED screen :)
HTC Scorpion with 1.5GHz Snapdragon, WiMAX tipped in build file of dubious provenance -- Engadget

But of course for GSM version, because CDMA is useless here.
