Car stereo integration kits

My car (2008 Mazda CX-7) doesn't have an AUX jack and FM transmitters suck. There are a lot of iphone adapter kits out there but not as many Android ones, let alone reviews. These are three that I've found and am considering:

TranzIt USB IS32 - Universal Car Integration Kit for Smartphones, MP3 Players

Mazda CX7 2007-2008 - AUX, iPhone, iPod and MP3 adapter

Mazda 2002-2008 GROM USB Android interface adapter

Does anyone have some experience with any of these to share? They all differ slightly in price and functionality. I'm leaning toward the Grom Audio unit but I would like to read some opinions before I spend that kind of money.

I don't have experience with any if these kits but I agree with you that the Grom seems to be the better option. If you can control the music through the head unit, I think that would sway me to the Grom.

Yeah, it is also the most versatile. You can get multiple connector cords and connect not just an Android phone, but any source with a 3.5" jack, an ipod or iphone (i have friends with iphones that might want to plug in their's on a car trip, plus I also have an ipod I use occasionally), connect via bluetooth, and you can connect a USB flash drive.

The only thing is that the reviews for their app in the Play store are pretty mixed. I assume you have to use that app to have control from the steering wheel or radio unit.

Hi,
Just finish installing a Tablet in the car and it's all new and many app's are missing
I had the same issue and at the end I decided to replace the head unit with a used Pioneer (~40$) In-Dash 1 DIN radio/CD with a AUX jack (Craigslist did the trick)
To build it I had to get a wiring harness (~12$) and a dash kit (~35$) both from Metra (Metra Online | Welcome to Metra Auto Parts Online Warehouse)
let me know if you need more info on the build itself or pictures
