[Verizon] [ROM] [JB 4.2] XenonHD Stable-11.1 (7/3/13)

How do you flash a kernel?

Also, I think I ran into my first problem that I haven't been able to solve. Google Talk won't sign in for me for some reason. Anyone else experiencing this?

Flashing a kernel is the exact same method you would use to flash a rom or any mods. Just boot into recovery and flash it over. Best part is you don't have to wipe anything

In the Jelly Belly thread the 1st post is Franco kernels website link :)

I apologize for being dense but I don't see it. I see links for AKOP, RootzForum, TestBuild 7 and Gapps. I even followed the links and found no mention of Franco but I didn't go any deeper.

Could you please repost the link here for those of us who have had a hard day? :)

Found it, never mind. Rough day.

Depends if you want to overclock your GPU. Stock is closer to 384.

I'd leave it at the lower settings since 512 may not be compatible with all hardware and the extra speed over 384 (minimal) isn't worth the extra power needed. :D

+1 ! Your phone rich may not handle the 512 well (of course you could try and see) 384 is already oc'd anyways so I'd go with it

Thanks guys. I went with 384, I figure it's better to be safe than sorry. I'm getting desperate for better battery life and sipping juice is appealing.

Out of curiosity, which hardware could handle 512?

Just flashed this ROM after doing a complete wipe. Very nice :)
Love the speed. I used titanium back up to restore everything that was wiped.
Having this weird thing where if I tap the apex launcher icon in my drawer I get my old desktop but If I use the back button to get out of the app drawer, it reverts to a clean desktop before I restored from my titanium backup.
Is this a ROM issue or a launcher issue or a poor restore from my TI back up?
Thanks for any help with this

It's a guessing game till one tries it on their phone. You notice pretty quick when the screen starts graphically glitching with crazy light patterns :p

Not all "chips" are made equal, chips being cpu/gpu/silicon/etc...

Just like OC'ing your PC (I used to be a mad cpu & gpu OC'r).... cpu's handle voltages and speeds very differently from one another, even those from the same bin at times.

I'm taking a SWAG here and saying that Apex likely backed up your home screens before the wipe and is simply restoring it.

EDIT: Xenon 6 just dropped! :D

In my Dropbox momentarily....
