HTC EVO 4G LTE with white casing

The white Evo 4G LTE was released two weeks ago and for sale in Sprint stores and sprint.com. What I'm wondering, is if we will see the white Evo in any brick and mortar stores like Best Buy, RadioShack, and the like.

The reason I've been waiting for it to pop up is you can easily get a black Evo 4G LTE for $150 at one of these stores, but not at Sprint. They charge $200. I think the white one looks fantastic but not at a $50 premium just because they aren't releasing them to other stores.

Does anyone have any idea if it will likely be available in other stores in white coming up? Or do we think this is going to be a Sprint store and website exclusive?

Another thing to keep in mind as well is if buying at a best buy store, the insurance best buy offers is better than sprint's total equipment
protection in my opinion. I bought my phone from sprint and have the TEP. My coworker and I went to best buy to buy his LTEvo and with best buy's insurance, for 10 bucks a month (compared to sprint's TEP @ $11 a month) and ANYTHING happens to your phone they will replace it with no deductible. Atleast thats how we understood it. I could be wrong. With sprint's TEP if you drop the phone and crack the screen or get water on it then there is a $150 deductible. Maybe someone who is familiar with best buy's insurance can chime in and comfirm

That is true. I had best buys insurance on my last EVO, went with Sprints on this one.

Best buys has no deductible and if anything happens to your device they take yours, send it to a warehouse, fix it, and ship it to someone else. You get to go back to the store to receive a replacement refurbished phone in 3-5 days.

It can be nice when something is actually borked (ie a bricked device) and the whole phone needs replaced, but for something that a normal sprint store would fix... bestbuy replaces the whole phone.

That would be VERY BAD if something like a button breaking on your S-OFF device and they ship you another one with the new H-boot. Sprint could probably fix something like that

Didn't think I'd dig the look of the white one, but it is pretty nice. Kind of want to oops my phone and get one (Have sprint insurance for at least the next few months) :p

On a side note: Anyone experience the back getting marked up a bit too easily? I had taken mine out of the case at a lunch for a short time. Looks like the bottom part had worn a bit in places, nothing horrible but a little odd since the back seems tough. Don't think it was from the otterbox case.

I noticed that happening to mine (I have the black one) so I put a skinomi full body protector on it. It evens out the two-toned black and it fills into the HTC logo after about 3 days. Sometimes I like to go without a case and I like knowing it won't get scratched if I do.

Since I'll only use and recommend Otterbox cases, having a white phone would mean nothing since Otterbox does not have a white case for the phone available. It would be a white phone in a black case. It Otterbox ever releases a white case for the LTEvo...I'd simply purchase that if I wanted the option of having a white devise in my hand. Black phone, white case :)

I just upgraded to white LTE frm my OG EVO about 5 days ago and I must say it is quite the conversion starter. I don't think pixs could do it justice. And I just received my 2 hard cases...and Active case and Surface case, both from Seidio and are impressed with both. Still have a HTC hard case on back-order as well. The white Active case, with its black neoprene casing and hard white exoskeleton really catches the eye. Got a lot of inquiries on my new iphone(hated even typing that but that's what most thought upon first glance) yesterday at Wal-Mart.

But like someone else mentioned above, I had to get mine frm Sprint and go with their TPE. I was trying to hold out for Best Buy to get them but my OG EVO was on its last leg and I couldn't wait any longer. That deductible is going to be a pain, as I'm kind of hard on phones. But I really wanted a white one and I'm more than happy with the purchase.

I love my black & red stripe Evo 4G LTE, but I also love the white version too.

...So, I went on EBay and bought the parts that would transformed my device from black to white.

I thought I would have to pay a professional to do the job for me, but after watching a video on YouTube (how to take the EVO 4G LTE apart).

I knew I could do this on my own. :)

Both versions look really nice, but I think I prefer the white. I can go from black to white and vice versa anytime I feel like it. No case for this bad-boy...only a screen protector to prevent scratches to the screen (if it wasn't for that - I would go bare, lol)
