Wife is loving this phone!

This is the first time in 15yrs we have had different phones, we usually get identical models and we like having the same.

But this time around, she couldnt push herself to get the big screen, and i couldn't push myself to accept lesser specs, and i really wanted the bigger screen. So i got the GS3 and she got this Incredible 4G

She is coming from the original Incredible, which she loved! But it has aged, and the screen was faulty and showing red spots all over.

So far she is loving the fact that the form and functionality is not drastically different from the original dInc, but yet the performance and features are noticeably better. She especially loves the camera!

Just thought id share, i think this is the perfect phone for soccer moms, or house wives, or anyone else not concerned in the least with specs ot technology, and just wants a new flashy android phone which is still very capable.

Soccer mom? Nope. Housewife? Desperate, maybe but not a housewife. Concerned with specs? Yes. How in the heck did I end up with this phone? If anything, you might have better luck carrying around those monster phones in a satchel or purse. I'm going to leave this planet now. Been here long enough.

I don't understand how GS3 owners continue to think that the specs of the Inc4G can't compare with those of the GS3. Other than screen size, it's pretty much identical (except one isn't a Samsung ).

Your family config is the same as mine!! Husband has the GS3, and I have the Dinc 4. (we both just came from Dinc 1, mine rooted) However, *I* am the tech nerd in the family. Husband has fat fingers and a hard time seeing up close. Hence the need for a gigunda phone. I on the other hand just hate the idea of holding an Etch-a-Sketch up to my ear to talk on the phone. This D4 is AMAZING! First I am on hour 33 since my last battery charge. I've navved, talked on the phone and surfed. Second the camera is awesome - click click click with no delay. clear bright pictures...Third, it's fast as anything. It's a perfect size, too. I'm not a soccer mom but a busy creative professional who loves technology.

I'm edging to replace my Incredible with an S3 but think the wife is eyeing up the Incredible 4G. It's been fun having identical phones though because I'd dogfood alot of stuff before putting it on her phone (rooting etc.)

my wife loves the inc4g as well. I also have it and I like having the same phone so that way I can sneak in switching the battery when hers is full and mine is not (and she does't know).

I'm mot a soccer mom by a long shot. Or a woman for that matter. I'm an emgineer hardware hound. I get stufff I find useful, and tend toward the higher quality stuff, which is why I like HTC. I bought this phone because of the size and the build quality. It's a great leap from the rezound in terms of "holdability" and "pocketability". Really like it so far. I might put a launcher on it to get the customization I want, but this is the first phone I've had that I didn't just gut immediately.

Big screen is not the same as big specs.

Why do you want to offend and piss off a woman? That's dangerous business. Try not to clump all women into the same category as your wife. I feel sorry for her now. Besides, the Dinc 4g has top specs too, just a smaller screen.

Obviously, in that relationship, the one who knows nothing is the man. :laugh:

Have to agree with OP, my wife loves her Inc 4g. She knows nothing about technology so I make all the buying decisions in that department but she didn't want to hold a pancake up to her face She loves it. And I'm very happy with the SGS3. Yes, they are identical except for having double the RAM, Quadruple the internal memory, higher resolution screen, higher ppi screen, bigger battery and thinner. Same CPU and GPU though.

Also, after comparing the two for the past month I'm really impressed with the SGS 3 build quality. The screen goves all the way to the edge and there is no ridge or rim where dust/skin/hair/whatever can collect. Around the Inc 4g there is a noticeable ridge where all kinds of nastiness can collect

And I post in here because I paid $530 after tax for an Inc 4g. And I also have an SGS3 I got on contract upgrade. So if you are going to get all defensive about your purchase or easily offended you probably shouldn't come to forums in general. Both are great phones but there are noticeable differences.
