any other HTC phones comin to orange

Exactly, if there's gonna be a hard slogged out war between Android and iPhone, why not have them both on your books and benefit?

the war is ages away, Apple reign supreme currently, I fear Android will always be predominatly a specialist market, well in Europe at least, Im not sure how Android is shaping up over the pond.

I saw a report that said baisically that The iPhone has 50ish % of the smart phone market, with Android tipping in at about 25%, but that 25% is a growth of something like 1100%.. Ill find the link

I'm not entirely sure that Orange are aware that Android even exists. Within a couple of weeks of the iPhone arriving they released an Orange Wednesday app, I've never seen any Android apps from Orange despite them carrying Android phones for much longer.

Good point, Cost benifit ratio's obv are not right yet for them to devote the time.. maybe!

Or maybe Android users are more likely to Download pirated Films, rather than goto the Cinema

My friends wife just got a white Hero on 3, he's still stuck in the 90s on his iphone. In the last 24hrs I've had at the very least 30 phone calls that start with the line.

"how do I..."

I've worked out some people shouldn't have Android phones.

I think the iphone sells well because even though it's classed as a smartphone it is very very simple to use. I can see her returning the Hero to 3 in the next few days.

Very true :p

The problem for the carriers and manufactures is trying to appeal to both groups, those that can understand and get the best from their so called smartphone and those that are moving from a so called dumbphone. It's a difficult balancing act. It'll maybe take other manufactures to grasp the concept of Android and make it more user friendly. A kind of Android/iphone hybrid.

It would be interesting to see which ones are working on Android phones and which aren't.

Whilst I love my HTC Hero I can see the drawbacks for someone who doesn't understand what's going on under the skin, Android is not for everybody whereas even an idiot can work an iphone. Apologies to any idiots out there!
