THANKS:
MTDEV would like to thank Mantera for creating and maintaining the source code and sharing it with all of us at Android Forums. MTDEV is privileged and honored to continue forward with this ROM! Thank You Mantera for all you gave to our Community!!! We would also like to thank Dorregaray, IssacJ, Tickerguy, Whyzor, yumbrad, PerkinsII, progmanos, NateMcKn, edowar, LorDClockaN, TwistedUmbrella, exsitz, Lloir, dzo, Dorregaray for his work on camerahal, and finally BSydz for his work on the kernel!!! With out the hard work of the names listed above this ROM would not exist.

∙ 3G Disconnects (Toggle Airplane mode to get data to start up again)
∙ * Partial Camera
∙ Tethering (USB)
∙ HDMI

FIXED
∙ Netflix streaming
∙ Hard Keys currently don't light up (these can be enabled through Settings < Display < Brightness < Automatic Brightness)
∙ Tethering WiFi - Testing needs to be done

KERNEL
∙ A slightly modified version by BSydz.

DOWNLOAD:
MTDEV CM9 Rom Browser

INSTALL:
Follow these simple instructions if you’ve never flashed a ROM on the MT. If upgrading from a previous CM9, it is HIGHLY recommend to always do a full wipe data/factory reset & advanced -> dalvik-cache in recovery mode. If you simply wipe both caches and install the ROM you will be carrying over parts of the last ROM. If you need to carry over settings here is a written guide [Guide] How to Backup and Restore Apps and Data when installing new ROMs. Android Market/Play is not included for legal reasons, you MUST flash gapps.zip.

POST INSTALL:
Once you have booted up, please reboot your phone so WiFi will work properly. Not needed anymore.

Tools to help me help you:
Better Battery Stats. It will show wakelocks and other information that will help with diagnosis.
Current Widget It will show when the battery has been discharging/charging and how fast.
System Tuner I use the pro version, but the free one will do just fine for most users. It can take the place of quite a few app that I used (Terminal Emmulater, incedivolt, setCPU....)

DONATIONS:
Your donations are very much appreciated. All funds are strictly used to help better MTDEV releases be that website or workstation upgrades for all Team Members

Thanks for continuing this development G60!! I just want to note, that ever since manteras final build i have had one ongoing issue, the live wallpaper, nexus in my case, will freeze and i can drag down the notification bar but nothing shows up. Another thing is my voicemail notification will not go away...

Thanks again!!!

Annnd seems like the hardware buttons(?) don't light up.

I think if you go into "Settings" when you can (try a reboot) then "Display" and turn on "Auto Adjust" for screen brightness and then turn it off the buttons should stay lit. This will need to be done after each reboot if I remember correctly.

Awesome job guys!

Only bug I've found so far is "Settings" keeps FC'ing. Annnd seems like the hardware buttons(?) don't light up.

Edit: The buttons seemed to randomly light up. >.>

Think I was to quick in killing the CMStats :D

I just tried this and it seems fine. Are you doing a full wipe and dalvik cahce? I just tested and the Nexus live wallpaper works perfect along with the notifications drop down windows. I can't test voice mail as I have this loaded on my dev phone and I don't have service.

No, I just flashed yours on top of maneras final build. I guess I could go back and wipe stuff though.... maybe if it becomes a bigger deal. Usually after it freezes, it will come back after 30-60 seconds or so.

On all MTDEV ROM's we recommend that you do full wipes & dalvik on each update. This will cause less issues for you in the long run as new code is being inserted from one version to the next. This is even more true for CM9 as this code is going under constant updates from CyanogenMod on a daily basis.

Awesome job. Im in love with this rom!

Some things I noticed.

1. Haptic feedback dosent turn off.
2. My buttons do not light up.
3. Settings will force close very often.
4. Wifi does not stay connected

I can send a logcat if that would help out.

Cataulin,

Since this is Alpha there will be many bugs in this ROM. Expect the ROM to become more solid in the weeks to come, however also expect lots of issues as well :D I suppose we could have held off on releasing so soon but I know everyone is wanting some CM9/CM10, including myself. I just ask to be patience with the process. As I am sure you saw with MTDEV-CM7 it went through some rapid development and lots of bugs got ironed out in as little as 15 days. So expect the same here, it just may take a little longer as this is a new animal for MTDEV, and we need to wrap ourselves around the code for a while.

Edit: updated the first post to reflect this

Sweet it's finally here!!!I was also thinking on the camera I know that when the new kernel was put in that the CM9 ROM wouldnt boot........well I thought that the kernel not only controls the camera but all other aspects of our phone. And seeing this kernel was from another phone that is similar to our phone I think the fix on the booting issue is that the permissions need to be changed to the ones that go with the phone that it came from(if that makes sense).

There was this kernel from another phone that mantra was testing. The kernel was from an Indoneian phone that is similar to ours.It was running ICS with a working camera but when mantra tried it it wouldn't boot. When I thought about it I figured that maybe the permissions on that phone was different than from our Triumph and that if we change the permissions we can get it to boot.Make more sense?

Yeah I have been working on that kernel with mantera. It's all in the works don't worry :) Also looks like CM9 will be releasing the stable code tonight so we will be locking the code down and working on it more. Maybe a day or two before we release the next build.
