free tethering on new leak?

The easy teather beta version they released a while ago. When it wanted to update it made it so you couldnt use it anymore. However I had it backed up with appmanager (a program that comes with astro manager) and I re installed the old backed up version and it never tries to update due to that.

Get astro manager, back up your apps so it creates a back up folder on your sd card, pm me your email address, Ill send you the backup file, put it on your sd card and install it off of there.

You will have free unlimited teathering

On no! Back to the pc vs. mac debate. Just read this yesterday. :) Thanks 4X4le for the tutorial on backing up apps so that you can stay with an earlier version if need be. That is great for staying in a beta or keeping features when they get zapped from a newer build. This leads me to another question. There are several apps that do not show up in Marketplace for 2.1 leaked version but someone posted a file for the Skype app that worked for us. Wonder if someone has a Weatherbug Elite file that will work by just getting the .apk and doing a manual install.

many of the paid apps are marked "private" in app manager. I dont know if there is a different program that allows you to save them or not but I would like to know. Im assuming people are saveing them somehow because you can download paid apps for free all over the net.

Also, for the mac/pc thing. I was just joking. I honestly do not personally like mac computers, but Im not nerdy enough to actually argue about it. My business partner has a dual boot pc that runs mac but I was unaware that there was a program so macs could do it as well. I may look into this because the software I sell (that you have to have to use the hardware I sell) only works on windows and the mac people are always complaning about it. To me, not having everything be compatible is something your accepting when buying a mac. If you have hopes of emmulating and flashing binary roms in realtime on nissan ecus, dont buy a mac lol, unless you know how to run windows on it.

I also wanted to add to the origional topic some more. My old ET app quit working with 2.1
I seen another beta in the market, downloaded it and installed it, backed it up, uninstalled it and then reinstalled it from the sd. Im hoping that with this version they didnt make it so it will expire............ time will tell. I would have no problem paying for the app if they had blue tooth teather

if your phone is rooted, you can back them up/restore them, if not, you have to wait till official 2.1 comes out, or email the devs and ask them to remove the private tag so you can access the downloads you paid for.
