Broke phone after day 1 :(

I finally broke down and bought the DInc 4g. I must say I love the form factor. Way better than the Rezound. I am having many minor issues with it mainly relating to setting up new apps again and I'll iron them out I'm sure. I do have two questions though.

1. I'm using Widget locker since I wanted to change the icons on the default lock screen. I like the lock screen, just those 4 apps they give by default aren't the one's I want. Problem is Widget Locker unlocks to the dialer every single time. No clue why. Any ideas?

2. I came from the DInc2. ON it I could control wireless, GPS, BT, etc.... just from the notification drop down bar. I can't seem to do that on this phone. Can I restore that functionality somehow?

on the notifications drop down... upper right.. click the settings gear... the on\off for the items is right there. However for some reason HTC did not include the GPS. However I have had my phone now for just over 2 weeks and I have never turned the GPS off... Have no issues with keeping it on...

For your other question. Not sure on the app you are using, but the doc shortcuts are tied to the lock screen shortcuts. So if you change a doc shortcut the lock screen shortcut reflects that change. The doc shortcuts are changed just like any shortcut on your desktop.

Welcome to the Inc 4G world.. It's an awesome phone...!!

I used and liked Widget Locker on my original, rooted Incredible. With the Inc 4G, I'm okay with the default locker "ring" and have grown to like it. I agree with Jamala00, you can change those four apps at the bottom by dragging and dropping just like any other icon. Enjoy!

I figured out my Widget Locker problem in the middle of a mandatory meeting at work. Had to blow up the configuration and start from scratch. I like widget locker just because I can put a power control widget on the lock screen and I can toggle wifi, bt, etc... without powering on the phone.

I'm having a hard time navigating the ICS interface w/Sense. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but it's just weird.

It took me a few days, but generally I like the extra frosting Sense 4.0 provides! I think HTC nailed it this time. I was a little sad they pulled the www.htcsense.com functionality out that allowed you to track your phone and remotely wipe if lost. Oh well -- there's a surprisingly small amount of bloatware on this phone.

The replacement comes in today. I'm not sure what I can do to protect it besides possibly putting it in a brick like otterbox. I don't want to do that. I'm thinking of just rooting the thing so I can restore everything so much easier and don't have to spend all the time configuring it from scratch again.

Should not have started this thread with the word BROKE. Your phone BROKE. And now you're BROKE. Just sayin'.
