There are so many great phones coming out this year, I really wish I had waited to sign again with Verizon because Sprint's up and coming android phones are looking pretty legit... These were my top 4 smartphone picks..

but what are everybody else's thoughts? I hardly think the Nexus One is worth getting now that there are so many other options coming soon..

Starting to feel the same way, which is hard because I've been such a Big Red supporter through and through... would you really sacrifice coverage though???

I have both Verizon and Sprint phones (don't ask why) and have almost identical coverage everywhere I go, with the exception of a few rural stretches where my Sprint Blackberry will be on 1x only while my Verizon Droid will be going strong on 3G. Not that big of a deal to me, as I don't plan to pull over and surf the internet where its 1x, but at least there is coverage if I chose to do so. (Or even make a phone call for that matter) :)

Exactly. When it comes to voice footprint, and 1x data, sprint/verizon are 99.99% the same. 3g varies, both have their strong and weak points. When it comes to 4g, sprint wins =D.

With that said, I'm looking forward (hopefully) to an evo4g with hardware qwerty.

So let's ask this, is the little bit of extra 3g coverage in places your not going to be worth the extra 500-1k $ per year?
