Help connect to home wifi ?????

can someone please tell me how to connect to my home internet wifi. I have a boost mobile lg marquee 3g. I looked at tutorials but they tell me to go to setting and click connect wifi and what happens is all my neighbors connections come up with locks on them. How do I find mine?

You have to know the name of your WiFi network (SSID) and your encryption password if you have one... what brand WiFi router do you have?

I know the name of my ssid and my password. the router i use is from cox cable it says surfboard sb6180

When you turn on your WiFi, you should see your SSID listed.... and you would only have to select it and type in your password. If you don't see your SSID listed, you will have to make sure that WiFi is turned on in the router and that SSID is in visible mode.
