'Nother Nexus Noob

Greetings all,

Just wanted to say hello to the community with a quick intro.

I'm about to take the plunge into Android with the Nexus One which, after my last two years, should be quite the treat, being (cringe) a Windows Mobile refugee  on AT&T.

I've had my eye on an Android phone for a very long time, now. And since it just so happens that Google released the AT&T-compatible version of the N1 on the same day that my current contract expired, well, I took that as a clear sign that this was the phone for me. I'm very excited and can't wait to receive it.

I could've easily just drank the iPhone kool-aid like so many of my friends have. But being a software engineer by trade, and all-around tech head in-general, I just couldn't see being locked down into such a closed and controlled ecosystem as Apple's for the next two years. I like being able to tweak and tinker with my own gadgets way too much for that.

Anyways, these are terrific forums! :) So I'm very much looking forward to sharing good Android experiences with all here.
